I tried looking for the answer and found minimal answers other then what Zzp reccomends on the checkout screen. Can anyone give me a list of things I would need to safely install a vs or xp cam? Also which would be more beneficial for the cost I have all of the other support mods for the cam I just want to make sure I have everything considered in the cost of it.

you need to take the front cover off as well as down to the heads on the block. so every gasket from the LIM up and the front cover gasket.

you'll be urged to also replace wear items at the time (timing chain/tensioner, lifters, valve springs/retainers) of install to make sure you don't have to tear it down again anytime soon.

An xp package just sold on here for around 1k and looked to be about the closest "complete" kit ive ever seen. So thats a good estimate imo.

Yeah just buy one of the zzp cam install kits that comes with the timing chain and tensioner, some Crow Cams 105# lbs springs some OE-R Lifters and Manley Valve Retainers, if you have the cash go for the titanium ones, and you should be good to go. I am pretty sure I'm forgetting something though.
-edit - Valve seals.

All included for my cam was 1841$, includes all oil, coolant, filters, brake cleaners, paint, gaskets, lifters, springs, retainers, cam, chain/dampner, pcm tune too.

Difference is I had a blown headgasket and ticking lifters, burnt exhaust valves on cyl 3 and 5. Headwork was 400$ and I had a 300$ in time for the lift/garage and a bit of help. So remove 700$ and it was down to about 1141$, take in note that there are heavier shipping fees due to me being located in Canada.
