• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What to look out for on GXP models?

Wouldn't you know it, my 2nd day of owning the car..go inside wal mart for 5 minutes, come out and there is a shopping cart attached to my car -_- fml

I was parked in the back..the wind blew a shopping cart clear across the parking lot about 30 ft right in my front bumper

I assume you guys want pics, but I have not had a chance to take any yet since buying the car.

I knew the car had the K & N intake and the magnaflow exhaust but I finally got to see it on a lift today when getting the transmission serviced, and it does already have the transmission cooler installed. The suspension has also been upgraded..I think it was Bullet performance or something similar?

I did have to replace an oil pressure sensor and a wheel bearing, but the rest of the car seems solid.

If youre referring to the factory cooler that is still a no go. What are youre trans temps at currently?

Just my opinion really, but I'd personally never flush a transmission. Definitely drop the pan and change the filter, but machine flushes tend to break more than they fix. I have heard it depends on how the machine flushes it, but I've never had good experiences with them. My mother got the transmission flushed on her vehicle when I was younger, and it gave out on us while we were going up a hill the next month.
Same thing happened to my sisters 01 SE at ~60k miles, she took it in to have it flushed then a month later she stopped at a stop light and the car wouldn't move.

Seen as high as 199 after about a half hour of driving...is that too high?

On a couple occasions I was feeling a slight slip at low speeds so I am definitely concerned. It had not been doing that until this morning

Ideally you want it between 175 and 190 imo. My moms car hits 199 and starts to slip and bang into gear with long shifts.

On the trip home it maxed out at 188. But it was at 180 a few miles before that so seemed like it was still going up. It's roughly a 45 minute 20 mile commute
