Was heading down my highway at 55 Mph, noticed my hood sorta bounced then the next second it flipped up, cracking my windshield, denting my roof and scaring the piss out of me.

Got a junkyard hood, hinge, and arm assembly, need to get it painted and the dents fixed but thats not going to be for a few weeks.

Those rally stripes added to much drag on the hood so that's why it flipped up!





... but seriously damn glad your ok that's crazy!

and lets be honest here, the stripes wernt the culprit. The turbo is just too VTEC YO and just VTECHed the hood right off the car. VTECHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......

I'd be a little concerned over why the hood flipped on you...did you not have it latched, or did the latch fail? What happened?

I think I didn't properly latch it and the safety failed. I had to modify it for the intercooler so I replaced it and its all good now. works much better.

Stripes caused the hood to want to fly up because they promoted so much speed. It just wanted to fly.

Maybe the motor just wanted to show itself off...it wants you to run without a hood so everyone can bask in the glory of your motor...
