Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Dodge Ram

reprogrammed pcm's make a huge difference. even if your not nearly as modded as some people it wakes your car up a good bit.

If you want an interesting stock vs gtp race, race a 07 tundra it will defently be a good race, i raced my dad with his and it held its own and that was way back when i just had a cai and exhust. Idk what they run for 1/4 but i'm sure its pretty good. I remember when i was young my dad had a 97 dodge ram short bed with a v-10 it must of been a 3/4 ton but it had some balls and that truck could easily did 120 idk im sure they had a governor on it.

there was a tundra at the track last time dipping into the 13's with minimal mods. they move. the 5.9's are slow. i raced the dakota rt 5.9 in my n/a grandprix and he barly pulled on me. the hemi's are faster.

The 5.9 has 250hp in the dodge ram sport (245 in non sport models). Of course a ton more torque though. GTP will RUN away from it though. I own a 2000 ram with the 5.9 and a gp gt will walk it. Granted mine is a 4x4, even so it won't even be close.

Dakota R/T would be a much better match up for the gtp. 250hp in one of those little things makes them move out pretty well. IIRC they have similar stock 1/4 mile times to a GTP.

Don't compare the newer hemi's with a much older 5.9 engine. 250hp 5.9 and a 345hp 5.7 hemi, come on now.

you gotta catch me first bucko :p

and i still see a gtp comming out on top against a 5.9 dakota. my n/a grandprix was within a car of it.

I dont understand how, the r/t dakotas run high 14's-really low 15's stock. A N/A grand prix is higher 15's at best. Unless the dakota spun like crazy it should have beaten you easily.

we rolled into it from a redlight. no one spun. he was a car out by 75 and i felt like i was stoping his pull and we let off. maybe he needed a tune???

Im sorry but you compare estimated 1/4miles to a street race! lol!! There is SOO many factors you have to look at on a street! If you get a high modded ls1 as in my friends 10sec camaro and he tries to run YOU on the street you would prolly win! He would just set there and spin if he floored it!!! I dunno...bringing track times into a "street" race just dont make since IMO

EDIT: And even if he didnt spin he would just blow the tires off down the street....again IMO you cant compare track times to streetraces.

Fine, then when we do your race, I'll hook you up to the slow @$$ honda behind you trying to get in on the action.

I raced one the other day...it's the first year of the "pig nose" body style but it was a 5.9 with an exhaust, not a hemi. He did a huge river flyby on me so I caught up to him and we did a 40 roll and i just walked him...all I have is a home made intake and a u bend and resonator delete. So after that we go from a dig and I walked him even worse. In other words, that dog of a ram doesn't stand a chance what so ever
