rough idle / hunting problems

I have a 02 GTP it has 122k miles. Its been running rough and hunting for idle also when I press the gas pedal while in park and release it the car almost stalls but it corrects itself. while I am driving and let off the gas to coast the rpms will drop down to about 700 - 800 rpm then go back up to 1200 rpm. I've changed the maf sensor twice since the stock one went bad and the replacement one also went bad. Also changed the iac valve, lower intake manifold gasket was replaced a year ago. I looked for vacuum leaks didnt find any. If anyone can help me I appreciate it thanks.

Did you replace the fuel injector o-rings? After doing the lower intake manifold gasket on my car, I had a rough idle that I could not figure out and it happened to be that I tore an o-ring.

With your key on push the pedal to the floor and hold it there for 5 sec. Then fully release and pump to floor 5 times in 7 sec. Turn key off then start.

Hi , thanks for your replies . Yes I replaced all the o-rings on the injectors. Yesterday my alternator started whining it did that once before about a month ago then stopped thought it was the supercharger at first. Is it possible a bad alternator can cause this. Im also thinking the maf sensor isnt working properly it is a reman from autozone.

With ignition off, unplug the maf. Start it up and let the car run/get it's feet for a moment. Then drive and give it about 30 minutes to learn etc. Does it run better with the maf unplugged? If so..Maf is the likely culprit.

Holy crap was having the exact same problem the last 2 days..did this and it seemed to.work..no.more surging at idle...does this reset the tps or iac sensors?
