Tip on drying car

I found a gift from god today! At target they sell a squeegee with a weird handle. It's not like a regular squeegee where it's on a long stick it has 2 rubber pieces about 10 inches wide and 2 inches deep with a handle that runs all the way across. Best of all it's only a buck fifty

If it were me I would not use it on my car. I prefer not to have anything rub on the paint that could cause a scratch.

I use one everytime I wash...gets the majority of water off, and finish with a towel dry...helps in the summer with water spots drying quickly....no scratches on the car from it so far....just make sure it's clean everytime you use it...

I prefer to go to those car washes that you wash it, but, the high pressure wand has a " Spot Free " feature. Take a blast down the highway right after washing to do the drying. Of course, I am lazy.

I see no problem using this item for windows only.

A good video. Pay close attention at around 1:38. If your car's paint is well maintained and waxed this will work great. It will still work if yuo don't have anything on the car but it will still leave water behind.

We use these "blades" at my work to dry off new cars, Porsches, and freshly buffed cars. If your car is cleaned properly and you keep the blade wet (We keep them in a bucket of water) then it will not harm the paint on your car. We then follow up with some really plush microfiber drying towels to remove excess water. In my shop the only time a Porsche ever sees a chamois is when we are drying off the soft tops on the cabriolets. Reason being is that the chamois trap dirt in them really easily and if the person before you were to drop it or it so happens to lick the ground when you are washing the car then you run the risk of swirling/scratching the paint. Usually when that happens we have to use our pressure washers to clean them out before using them again.

So most of you I would assume take great care of your chamois and swear by them but don't be dissing these blades they work really fast and are so much easier to clean when accidents do happen.
