High idle after TB,Maf cleaning.

Did some maintenance on my 00 gtp today and went ahead and cleaned my maf sensor and throttlebody. Disconnected the battery before hand and took the throttbody off and cleaned it separate from the engine. I removed the maf sensor and the iac sensor and both cleaned them with maf cleaner. I didnt touch the tps sensor at all. When I plugged everything back up and started the car the rpms went up to 2500 and stayed there. I thought maybe the throttle cable was in a weird spot so I took it out of its place in the bracket and started the car and it idled right around where it usually does. Im thinking maybe I just cant find the spot to put the cable back in the bracket? I had the rubber thing in front of the bracket with everything else behind it.

if it idle fine with the cable off you need to hook it back on right. keep playing with it. its pretty much the same as the cc cable.

Does the bracket have any give to it? Or does it basically bolt into one spot? Im going to try and find a picture of the cables mounted up right. How could I have messed up somthing so simple?:th_drooling:

its a bit tricky.

that bracket just bolts on. no adjustments from it.

you can lay the cable over the side of the curved groove it lays in to hook it on seemed to help some when i did mine. this way the cable is loose.

After looking an image with stuff labeled apparently I had the cables messed up in my head. I thought the right one was the accelerator cable. Thats the one I took off to make it idle properly, so that cable must be pulling it back to far.
