What up I just bought a 98 gtp

i think he meant the odometer miles. being its 15 years old now, up to 200,000 can be expected.


my 98 has 228,000 on it. i got it 3 years ago with 212,000.
 


Oops ment to say miles on the odometer.. Well I seem to be having a few problems with this car. I got it at an auction check engine light is on car keeps beeping my mechanic said it needs a new radiator and valve covers are leaking oil .. My mechanic also said the computer seem to tampered with .. Any suggestions on making the beeping stop also when it beeps the radio cuts out
 
whats beeping? the horn? or the door chimes?

if the cel is on it needs to be scanned for codes. with out the code everything is a guess.
 
Do you mean flashing or beeping? If CEL is flashing it means you got a misfire.

My 98 has 198k on it.

May have a canned tune or custom tuned PCM. That may be what your mechanic meant by it being tampered with.
 
oh odometer well be nice to it and ive seen a few with 298k on them my grandmother had a 98 she got from mary kay it was pink they put 301k on it then it got totaled in an accident in colorado lol
 


I guess I'll take it to a shop and see what the codes are also maybe the previous owner messed with the computer if that's the case maybe that's why that beeping keeps going off.... The car looks like it was a family car it was pretty dirty on the inside . It's actually been threw like 9 owners. And need tags freakin 2012 tags smh
 


What up what up :) sooooo I put a new radiator in myself. Also oil change new spark plug wires and 3 spark plugs HOW do I take the last 3 spark plugs out in the back I pulled and pulled and couldn't take the freakn plug out
