New member
New guy here from Florida. Loved the w body GP since they came out. Always wanted one. I'm driving a jeep Cherokee right now which I absolutely love, but I'm going to be building it up for off road and I need a DD. So I've decided to get my very first GP.

I'm hoping to find a 4d GTP and have seen numerous finds under 3k in very good shape/condition.

New to this forum, but no stranger to forum use (can find me under the same user name on Cherokee forum, jeep forum, naxja, and a few others).

Looking forward to some good tips and insight.

Ha! That's cool.. I'm originally from Coral Springs (Broward county), but I live in Ocala (Marion County) now

Whatcha wanna see pics of, my Cherokee? Don't have the GTP yet... but I can't wait until I do get one so I can stop obsessing :)

Thanks bud :) I'm not on Jeepin, but I am on Pirate4x4 - same username. Don't go on there much though. I'm mostly on Cherokeeforum and the FL4x4 group on Facebook.
 


Well, finally got my GP! Might not be much of a looker you to guys, but I love it. 2003 GT with 121k Miles. Motor and transmission are very strong. Drives like new. Only thing wrong with it is the power steering. PO said the rack and pinion was just replaced... hope that is true. I've got the new PS pump and pressure line ready to go in. Thing is leaking like a siev.

Body is straight, rust-free, no dents, the clear coat has come off the bumpers, it's missing 3 out of 4 lower door moldings and the "door ding" molding on the driver's side. The interior is in really good shape except for a little bit of cracking on the driver and passenger seat. Also, it looks like the vinyl or whatever it is on the door panels inside is starting to separate like headliner cloth does from headliners. Speaking of which, the headliner is in great shape. Sunroof operates perfectly without any leaking (POURED here last night and not a drop... no wet carpet and no funny moldy smells). Oil needs a change but is not milky, tranny fluid is good with no burnt smell. Suspension is solid, car handles great. Driver's side window regulator needs to be replaced. Picked her up on sunday for 1600.
