Further degradation of the 3800 scene.

Assuming this is what WBS is doing, shame on them and they can be assured I will not be purchasing anything from them for my upcoming build.

With that said, it also surprises me how many people know they are buying Chinese crap, and really just don't care. I've been debating with my pending build, because I don't necessarily NEED headers, about just doing a PLog and DP. At least I can buy decent American-made stainless and I'm keeping money in this country. I've been told I'm crazy to even consider this, given the price of cheap Chinese crap on eBay.

And with attitudes like this, we wonder why this country has issues with job loss, trade imbalances, blah blah blah. After seeing this, I think I'm all set with eBay headers. US made for me, thanks very much...

so your making your own headers? cause thats the only way you can be sure they were made in the good old USA.


ebay headers are china headers. same with speed daddy headers, not american made. hell nothing is any more.
 
PS are made in USA and im guessing that the zzp headers price means its made here.....i know older tog's were made here...dunno nowadays....

snowflake. that merge is crap...i looked into them and really they are only shaped to flow as a 2 into 1 merge...for the price its better to splice two bends into a nice splitter
 
I agree, but it was 10 bucks and we aren't exactly pro fabricators lol. I was thinking that since it's so far down the exhaust it won't matter much.
 
Yessir, I got it as a combo deal with the front muffler there. It's a magna flow piece, I think normal price is $25.
It probably saved us newbs like 3 hours of fabrication time lol

That front muffler is 30"x6"
The car would have been quiet enough if we just dumped it there... now you can barely even hear it Lol

1) No, I am not making my own headers.
2) ZZPs are made in USA
3) If I can find a set of used SLP headers, I will buy those, as I've always had good luck with SLP. All SLP stuff is Made in USA.

People can find plenty of things made in the US. They just have to give a ****.

I hope your job never depends on the economic health of this country...oh wait, all of ours do....

I'm well aware the vast majority of people, especially on older car forums, don't give a sh!t where things are made. All they care about is what affects their pocketbook. Its too bad.
 


I blame China for this problem, if they didn't have 9 year old kids working in their factories for 10 cents a day these kinds of things would have never happened. Why pay an American $10+ per hour do make something of quality when you can pay some Asian pennies on the dollar to mass produce a cheaper product.

trust me, im all for buying American. the job you save may be your own!

but when someone then sells china made crap for 600 bucks ( when its being sold as American made) is criminal. especially when the speed daddy headers are made way better for a 1/3 rd of the price.

Is it literally criminal? What crime had been committed?
 
if they are indeed selling them as American made, (im not sure if they are or not) and they are indeed originally made in china, thats false advertising to the fullest degree. and is a crime.
 


WBS does say they're 1.75" primaries and the chinese primaries shown in the picture are 1.625"
That'd be false advertising.
 
i am not defending anyone on this just have a couple questions since i am not on the facebook group and wont be on it, I have seen a few different pictures now of the "wbs" headers in this thread, did the guy say these are the WBS store brand headers or just that he got them from WBS? Also is there a packing slip showing that he paid $600 for them? I mean we all know that no one would ever lie about prices and try to talk up or down stuff online.....
