Further degradation of the 3800 scene.

If they are then I would say yes. If they are just copies then idk. W-Body store doesn't even list how big the primaries are. Someone should pm that guy and have him measure them.

He claims they are 1.75" primaries.
My SSAC (SDO-6802 from China aka SLP knockoffs) were 1.625" primaries IIRC.
Speed Daddy (SDO-6802 from China) claims they are 1.5" primaries but I believe that to be wrong.
OBX (The Pacesetter knockoff headers) might be 1.75" because actual pacesetters were.

Easy way to nail his falls advert is if someone gets a set of these headers from WBS and measures the primary. If it's SDO-6802 and they're 1.625" (they will be) then BAM false advertising.

Well in all fairness SD/SSAC are basically the same thing as SLP headers right? And how much cheaper are the SDs then the SLPs? I mean all it really takes is a person being educated enough about what they are buying to ask the right questions to see if they are worth the outrageous amount of money they are asking.

Yes SDO-6802 are Chinese knockoffs of the SLP headers. They lack the build quality/material and fitment of the SLP headers.
They are made of cheaper/thinner steel and an inferior flex pipe that blows out easier. The collectors and welding are also of inferior design, negating some of the beneficial flow characteristics of headers.

The thing is the picture that guy posted on Facebook, the headers didn't look anything like that, that picture isn't even a pacesetter knock off. I don't think that guy actually got W-Body store headers. Did he ever say he actually got them from W-Body store?

Yes, he claimed to have emails between him and Mike to prove it, and it was confirmed by Dave (owner of RegalGS.org) that they indeed came from WBS.
 
I am doing a google search atm trying to find if anyone actually ever bought a set, but all im finding is people asking about them then everyone just suggesting SDs lol.
 


I was only able to find one thread where someone actually bought some but the op didn't post any pics of the entire header just the vband......
 


yeah im gathering that thats the first batch of true WBS modd'd OBX (PS style) headers....the others are (as pointed out) modified ssac/sd (that are more like the togs/slp with the 4 into 1 merge
believe it or not the PS style with the 2 into 1 merge is far better than the other style of rear merge which is just a large open plenum with a bunch of pipes crammed in

far nicer to have a gradual increase in cross sectional area

ive looked inside lots of headers and those large 4 into 1 merges are absolute horse ****...but i can see why they use it...its cheaper and pipe fitment doesnt have to be exact...ive seen some of those where the end of the #6 primary is right up next to the merge wall at a 45* angle...

i dont like cyl to cyl variances in airflow....the intake side of the motor doesn enough for unequal airflow...no need to further hinder 5 & 6 airflow

if the ****ers had hacked another inch off the #6 primary it woulda been farrr better flow

i can only hope that mikes production run of those headers has some better work than the ebay one's ive seen inside
 
And to think no one wanted the TOGs off my t boned GTP before I left for DC when I had them for sale in the classifieds on here for like 250. Now they are still sitting on the car out at my moms farm. Its ok id be kicking myself now because I still have plans to shove that engine in another 4 door for a daily driver.
 
i looked into Vbanding for two sets of togs...his originals were damaged and replacement parts never worked or sealed even with 3 different xovers from tog

he got the extremes to upgrade to

reality was the amount of money to fix the togs made the PS headers look like a winning 5000$ 2$ lottery ticket

no way to recover the $ to repair em so he sold em all for used coated PS headers...the area's ill be modifying arent visible

i just gotta get around to it lol
