Pioneer 2500BT HU installed, no bass.. HELP!

I just installed the above mentioned system in a 2008 GP w Monsoon. Before the install the bass would hit like crazy and it was very powerful. now its not very loud and the bass almost sound slightly distorted. I double checked that i connected all the wire correctly. Lie I didnt connect the wrong colors or anything. The amp wire was a bit confusing I wired the amp wire into one of the reds from the GMOS 04 and it plays but almost no bass. I did ground to the body too to see if that would help. HU Pioneer 2500 btGMOS 04 w onstar and amp ready harness was used. Any help!?
