Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Aftermarket Taillights

Trying to be of some service. I'd go with the smoked if it were me. They look better then the bright red ones...unless your car is bright Red.

Dark green. I tinted the OEM lights and cleared them. I might get these you guys suggested and if they're too bright, I might lightly tint them.

The problem with those aftermarket ones is that if one LED goes out on that LED board, the whole thing has to be replaced. I doubt you'll have any luck getting a replacement from the eBay seller too.

They look nice, but I have customers with that kinda stuff coming in all the time asking what they can do to fix it

Well you can try to re-seal them with "Rubber-Butyl" or purchase a new / used OEM housing and add more rubber butyl to give them a better seal.

I'm not saying all aftermarket ones are low quality, I'm just cautioning you that eventually 1 LED with go out on those boards and you'll be upset

I got the Spyder brand off Amazon for $200.00. Here are before and after pics. First pic is stock, second is with lights on and third is with brake pedal pressed. These will not fit as nice as OEM.....at first. I found the edge that wraps around the quarters seems to have a little more gap than the OEM units. I also found that if you flat palm slap that edge while turning the plastic nuts, they snug up pretty darn good.

They are slightly smoked and arent as dark as I would like, but, they still look good.

As far as brands go like Spyder, Sonar, etc. They are all made by the same company. Same way with projectors. I have seen guys argue that Sonar projectors are better than Spyders. They are the EXACT same thing. In fact, if you took the projector out of the Spyder projectors, they have Sonar stamped on them.

AK, that dent is bad. This poor car was bought new by my mother site unseen. As soon as the dealer got it they called her and she said " It's sold.....I am on my way. " My mother, like myself take EXTREMELY good care of our cars. Then her and my step father got divorced....she gave him the car....he abused it for about 6 months......then kicked the bucket. It has sat for 7-8 years. I am currently close to making it road worthy. Only thing I am in need of now is tires, trailing arms, lateral arms and a tune. I will work on the body next spring. Deck lid, front bumper and hood all need replaced. Can't find those damned Daytona stickers and badges to save my ass though.

Snow, I live down in Chillicothe. Moved back here about 2 years ago......lived up in Dublin for 8 years before that. I miss living in Columbus, but, I do love living out in the country.

a soldering iron and radio shack will go a long way. I was considering dissecting mine and rewiring each vertical strip into a single circuit and putting them on a sequential controller.

Agreed, but the average person may not have those skills. So I typically recommend OEM as it is easier, and more reliable in the long run
