Bill, I said that because this is what he found when he looked up the history report. (taken from that thread)

Manufactured in Canada. Has had about a dozen owners. 3 wrecks. Totalled once.

I wish I hadn't looked.

If I found that I would sell the car immediately. Whether things look bad or not. These cars are a dime a dozen and I'm 100% he could find a cheap one in better condition.

Not trying to start an argument because I understand what you're saying. Just wanted to back up why I said that since you said no one knows the cars history.

Honestly, he still doesn't know the history.

My SSEi had a perfectly clean bill of health according to all those things. Oddly the emblem on the drivers door was 1" too high, the sticker on the drivers door was missing, the handle switch for interior lighting was zip tied down low and the window was scratching because the weather strip was marred. At the least that door was replaced.

The info that he mentioned doesn't necessarily say if it was a bumper scratch that was fixed or if a mirror was replaced. As for the total, a local had his car totaled when he put in a claim when someone keyed most panels of his car. I'm not looking to argue either, but to say he should sell it immediately...well that's silly to me.

Immedialy being d##ks by jumping off topic on someone else's thread, not one person even contributed to answering the question, which makes it wrong in every way.

yes the fenders bolt on, you can try shimming them.

i gave advice. you wound up shimming the fenders a bit. like i had said.

dont get all bend out of shape, its forum, the Internets like assholes and opinions, everyone's got one. :th_scratchhead:

oh, and hang in there too. i know what broke and jobless feels like. it sucks.
