ive been browsing around checking on some prices for the infamous "fuel pump rewire/hotwire"

i ran accross this and was wondering if anyone used this, it looks like an AWSOME deal and seems to be the racetronix/casper style ??

FULL THROTTLE SPEED - Item Description Page

if the link doesent work, its basicaly the same thing labeled for a Fbody in the fuel upgrade sections.

my question being, is this the same thing ?

If it was the LS1 rewire from full throttle its the same exact one the vendors sell for us, just cheaper. Full throttle is where one of the major ones gets all their fuel stuff from anyway.

I cannot tell if that has the right connector on it for our fuel pump. You really do not need a kit. You just need wire to run from the back of the car to the front, and tie it in place of the stock wiring.

I just picked up a wideband gauge from them earlier this week, great customer service.

harness looks about the same...

im not so good with electronics, but my father is. What kind of wire should I get and where should I purchase from? I'd like to start making my own rewires for everything on my car. I just need to learn how.

Also will this bypass my fuel pump resistor??? Thanks

All you need for the fuel pump rewire is wire, and a way to connect both ends. I recommend using a soldering iron to do it the "best" way. As for everything else on the car, you will probably get into the realm of a lot of relays. Also not difficult, once you get the concept of them down.

The casper kit I have came with a fuel pump resister bypass. It is a connector that just has a piece of wire that loops around on one side, and the other side connects to where you unhook the connector that goes to the resistor.

Does the ZZP rewire bypass the resistor? $80 for a pump rewire seems steep, but I may have to eat it. I'm pretty sure I have a bad resistor right now so I'm going to have to do something soon about it.

well if you want to post in a thread that address' the price/quality issues why dont u at least click the link i provided for a GREAT deal.

by the way, i did purchase it and install it, and it is completely plug and play and of the highest quality. did i mention super easy?

/thread

if you want to make one yourself just follow the instructions given.

You bypass the resistor simple, and free. You bend pin 85 on the fuel pump relay. I will check to see if I can find the picture of it.

Found it:
