What is the best option for aftermarket fog lights?

I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT and I just bought some retrofitted projector headlights, love them. However they are 6000k and my stock fog lights are more like 4300, looks terrible. I see Diode Dynamics has some LED's for sale for the fog lights, but they also say that even the $60 (Stage 2) lights that they sell are not as bright as the stock lights.

What are my options for upgrading? Is there any bulb I can just pop in and get a bright white fog light without doing a retro fit or HID conversion? If not, what does it take to do an HID conversion?

Led are just for show not function. And if you wanna run hids you will need glass fogs otherwise you will melt them

Okay I will stay away from the led's then. The main reason I got the projectors is because I do a lot of backpacking and camping and driving down dark forest roads in the middle of the night can be dangerous. Sometimes it is foggy, I will absolutely need some functional fog lights.

Does anyone sell a complete fog light kit for HID's? I did a little searching but couldn't find anything and I also couldn't find a How-To anywhere.

I love them, there are plenty of colors, so you can match your 6k lights, I relied on my fog lights when i had halo/ projectors cause the light output was terrible. and everything comes with the kit, there is a wire that plugs into the factory plug, that plugs into the ballast, then u plug the bulbs into the ballast.

I do recommend you mount the ballast under the headlights not on the bumper near the fog light housing, cause mine fell off and i had to replace one

are you talking about the actual housings or hids. if you are talking about hids there is no good ebay kits go with ddm tuning vvme or theretrofitsource.com

If you use those HID's in anything but projectors, they're going to be horrible when used in actual fog. The beams are going to go everywhere, and you want fog lights to just light downwards so they don't illuminate the fog itself. Retrofit your fogs or get brighter halogens.
