• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Installing New Radio

Is there a way to keep the stock amp and just add new speakers I notoce the speakers have four wires instead of two is there a certain set to use and maybe disrehard the tweeter ones ill be adding components front and rear

Monsoon?

The rear deck speakers each have two separate speakers in each unit. One is a midrange, the main speaker is the subwoofer. Both subs are tied to their own channel from the amplifier.

I found tying the two speakers together was not a satisfying experience. I'm not sure if it was an impedance mismatch or what.

Lol I dod the same as you sonwhich speaker did youbuse the mid or sub wires for yourbaftermarket 6x9

I used the midrange. While I have enough bass with the setup I have...a pair of Pioneer three ways...I miss the subs.

I'm looking at replacing the Monsoon amp with a PPI 900.4. I'm getting older and find the need to crank it up even more. The setup I have is giving me a bit more distortion than I like.

Once the bank account recovers from that, then I'll look into a sub.
