Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Map sensor interchangeability

The number of mine is 16254539, none of the parts stores around me have that one in stock. Is there any other number that will work that I can see if the have?

I do happen to have one that looks the same from a while back, i'm sure its a 2 bar as i was looking for one for my truck off ebay and was sent the wrong one. The only number it has is 1006H01 on it. I did hook it up and the car was really rich and the idle surged, so I don't think its the right one. Google didn't turn up anything but one dead end also.

you really dont ever need a map sensor... I would just find something at a junkyard eventually, ANY 2 bar sensor will work.

Hmmm, I wonder why this one I have didn't work? Its the same connector, mabey its a 3 bar? Or possibly a one bar? It looks so close to the same you have to look close to notice any size difference.

well yeah, then your car constantly run richer than is needed and runs like crap. unless you tune to run in open loop

tweeder, try calling Lordco Lordco Parts Ltd. - British Columbia's Source for Auto Parts

the closest store to you would be in prince George, but it wont take a week just to pass through customs as they are a BC company. Im sure they would be glad to help you out, and im sure they would overnight it if you want.

ps, I use to live in kitimat as a youngster. I love the drive between terrace and prince Rupert, waterfalls everywhere, just awesome.

Yeah we have a few parts stores around here just didn't want to spend another $100+\- on another sensor. And I don't want to goto the wreckers as they are rip offs and you never know how the parts will work.

Cars run just fine without map sensors. They are used for some load calculations, and even then the base guess alphaN numbers are usually close enough people cant tell. A missing map sensor will not put your car in "open loop".. It never has, never will, and whoever said that just made it up for the fun of it.
