• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! WOW...I knew Mike N. (owner of clubgp) was a prick but seariously...



i hate that site...i hate all the other sites for the most part.well the ones i have seen at least,a bunch of arrogant pricks IMO...GPF FTMFW the rest i have seen=FAIL
 
Its not even about the site...its the fact that he is actually blocking any links from here being posted on there... I find myself on this forum more and more each day and less and less on there, but I do got there to give advice to people who need it and no one else has helped them...Mike N. has stooped to a new low with this one.
 
That whole site is stupid. Worst forum software ever; terrible search; and lots of useful posts by idiots who don't know the first thing about being part of a constructive community.

you speak the truth! anythime i go there its just to look for parts, posting is a waste of time u will be shot down within seconds.
 
it wasn't even about any deep debate or idea...I was just sharing my HID install pics and video on there. only to find out Mikey decided to sensor out other GP sites...THATS Retarded...I don't know of any other site that does that. I agree with the above points though...site software sucks, etc, etc, etc... CORRECT, CORRECT, CORRECT!!!
 


He's been doing that since shortly after this site launched and a flood of people from there came here, and still do I might add. There were a great many threads popping up talking about this site and as they popped up it would cause an influx of registrations here and so they responded by filtering out the links.

I will also add the DAY this site launched Mike and his forum were no longer the only game in town, he put up that Club Ideas thread in response to the people unhappy there and signing up here, with all kinds of promises. In fact in one thread that he personally posted on Dec. 13, 2007 about new forum software stated this (the new software) WILL be done. Yeah, Mike, though Im banned from there I can still read your forum.

Here it is nearly a year later, and still no new forum software.

We just need to continue on providing people with a community and place they can feel welcome and at home and that site will slowly fade away.
 
WOW Syn, I had no idea you were banned from there...I don't know if you have ever met Mike N. or not, but I have... he was a prick in person and obviously hasn't changed.

I met him at ACS II (Alamo City Shootout II) He drove up in his very graphic'ed out GP. and of course was invited to watch drag racing etc... do you know he never got out of his car...just sat in it and expected everyone to come up to him and visit with him....sorry Mike...I have no time for stuck up snobs...I think he was there 45min before people started ignoring him and he left.
 


How could anyone ban Syn?!?! He's like the nicest well spoken guy on the site... Personally I think he's one of the best admins I've ever seen on a forum. Ludacris is a great admin on dsmtuners.com. He runs the forum correctly, but it's mostly all informative and not a whole lot of good fun joking.

Freedom of Business! Apparently Mike wishes he could monopolize the gp forums. Bitter that he can't hang tough against other sites.

I don't know the guy personally, so my judgment really is unfair, but from the people who have met him I can get an idea.

The only reason I'm registered onto clubgp is to look through the classified section. I've never browsed through any of the other stuff really. That's about it...
 
Thanks quicklynks...I am seariously debating Publicly Leaving the forum over there and listing all the pluses this site has over that one in it....guess will see if I cool down or get more pissed of in the next few days.
 
I was banned from there to as alot of people were. The only time i ever went there was for parts as well & occasionally I would post.
 


Yeah I know ZZP has him in his pocket.... and to some extent W-body store as well...but Mike seems to be much more reserved in his complaining to Mike N.

and Yeah I can completely understand how you feel. I thought about doing the public leaving thing but one of the things I do try to do int here is help people that "Just Bought a PowrTuner" get access to the DHP site. As much as I would like to think they would notice the stickied thread in the PCM section and email me...not everyone will. I can tell you I will be reducing my time spent there and increasing it here (not that that wasn't already happening anyway).
 
I met him at BGPM the first year....well, didn't really meet him I suppose. Webracin came up to me and said "Hey Brian, This is Mike N, the owner of ClubGP...." I just went "Pffft....so what?" lol

Alcohol might have played a role in that I suppose. Still one of my proudest moments.
 
Throwin my .2 in! lol. I got pretty much bashed on another site and came to this one...I joined Clubgp about the same time I did this one. I have yet to post on there! I read a thread about a guy "beating a gto" if some of you have read! I posted a story ofthe same! After reading how those guys bashed..i was like umm NOPE! Been there done that! I will be the first to say this site is GREAT! Im a female and have had nothing but respect from EVERYONE here! so here the female side *hugs and kisses* lollolololol
