• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Just Got My 04 GTP Comp G... aww yiss

Looks good. I think your first mods should be headers and an Overkill tune. Also check out

Just a warning on the mods, unlike most of us you are under a warranty, don't do something to void it just yet. Headers and tune should be ok but there is no way that they will cover it after a smaller pulley.Congrats on the ride, I love my 04 Comp G and I expect that you will love yours too

You can't mod for 3 years with that warranty, those warranties likes to **** you in the ass if you do something. When I bought my 60k '04 comp-g, I blew an head gasket (Seriously) and it costed me 1840$ to rebuild the top end with an XP cam, was well worth it, and cheaper than a warranty!

Either ways enjoy the new ride, and since it's a 04, think about getting the intake gasket changed for an aluminium one! If not under warranty, you'll have to do it yourself after it!

Warranties usually don't cover **** anyways that it seems like it. I had one at one point in time and everytime something would break.. I get the whole it's not covered blah blah. Eventually said screw it and start modding.

Wow Red, why don't you tell him how you really feel about the extra $1650 he already spent on getting that warranty. LOL

Lmao well I spent like $2k on a warranty and every time j had something go wrong it was always a exception to what was covered and what was not.

You could always mod and then throw on stock parts if you need warranty work done.

On a bright note GP parts are rather cheap and they are a breeze to work on ;)

See, it wasn't that hard to be positive for the guy. Now let's talk him into a 2.7 pulley on 87 octane and see what happens.

Better have supporting mods for a 3.4 it kiss your motor bye bye you can't just slap a 3.4 on and expect great things

Fair enough, I'll be sure to really look into it.

congrats on the new car! where in ontario are you from?
In Durham Region, what about you?

My warranty is just fine, it covers...
Engine, Transmission, Transfer Case, Differential, Turbo/Supercharger, Towing, Roadside Assistance, Breakdown Away From Home, Seals and Gaskets, Supplementary Mechanical Parts, Electrical, Fuel Injection, Steering, Front Suspension, Brakes, and Air Conditioning.

I'll be sure to call the Ford Dealership before I slap anything on.

Well bad news, they said if I were to put anything on that wasn't "Factory installed" then it would void the warranty if a bigger problem persists. Only loophole is say if I wanted a cold air intake, he said one time before someone had put one on and it sucked in water and go into the engine then they couldn't fix it. I could put it on, something happens, remove it, put the factory air intake on and they would never know.

That...OR...the dealership has to actually PROVE the part you installed caused the warranty claim. 99 out of 100 times, they won't be able to prove sh1t.

Just do easy bolt-ons if you want to and keep your stock parts for re-installation if needed. Just have fun with it and don't worry about the warranty until when/if the need arises.

im in the Niagara region
Ah damn, little far away. From time to time I might be in Hamilton, but that's as far as I've gone.

That's true, I'll just say I bought the car like that, cause I'll be going to a different dealer/mechanic anyways. They couldn't prove that I put on any modifications.

Fair enough, maybe the easiest thing to do.

Yup I seen that coming :). Stick w/ a intake, tune and keep your stock PCM to swap back if needed.
Ya I know, kinda sucks, but I might do a couple more things near the end of the warranty. That and maybe blow the engine and transmission so I don't have to worry about after the warranty :P

Welcome aboard!
Nice car, I've always liked Comp G's
Durham Eh!
I usually roll through there a few times a year when I visit family in Owen Sound.
I'm about an 40 mins SW of London myself.
