Clay bar ftmfw. Looks great!

Indeed. Makes a big difference I think. Every time I clay barred a panel, the clay was almost black with dirt. Talk about nasty.

good job Dan! that car is to be proud of!

Thank you kind sir. Still wouldn't mind selling her, even after she looks this good.

Thank you my man.

Well, its taken over two years to get it from completely bone stock to this. The reason I can fund, is because I work Full-time making decent money for a college student. I attend the Community College in my area, which is cheap. Less than $4k a year. I also live from home, since the Community College doesn't have any housing.

So my paycheck consists of a few thing. #1: Food, cause I like to eat. #2: Gas. #3 Girlfriend. #4 Car.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Yet Another Update.

She cleans up pretty good Dano. I really need to stop being lazy and take the bar and polisher to mine. One of these weekends when its not 110* in the garage, I may get off my ars and do what I need to for the car... maybe.

Sad part is that even after all the elbow grease in the world, she won't shine like yours. That black just reflects something fierce.

spends hours of clay baring, washing and polishing then drives it down a gravel dusty road??? but at least its really shiny

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Yet Another Update.

Not calander shot worthy, it doesnt look right. Background isnt right and for whatever reason in my eyes the edge of the right front bumper/fender have it looking like the car is melting.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Yet Another Update.

Sad but good news.

On my 3.5 setup, my car continuously sees 10* KR through out a WOT pull, especially in the higher RPM range, due to the Valve springs being worn out and tired. Stock with 155k on them. They start to float after 5k+ RPM.

So instead of replacing the springs with new stock ones, this is a great time to upgrade to some 105's. And what comes hand in hand with 105's? A cam. Before, you ask, No I do not have the 105's or the cam. This is just going to happen down the road after I save up some pocket change for the parts.

So in the meantime, I went back to a 3.8 pulley to keep the car safe. Cars sees virtually no KR until I start to hit the higher RPM range again at 5k+, then I see about 3-4* but that is much better than 10*+ on a 3.5, and the car actually feels a wee bit faster since it isn't constantly pulling a butt load of timing non stop through out a WOT pull.

New super small pulley :th_laugh-lol2:

Maximum MPG mode engage, cruise set at 71.

Re: 1997 Black GTP, Now Slower, But Yet Faster.

Lol, first person to do ever do a less than 2 inch pully... talk about boosting?
