Heh boost gauge line...

How in the world do I get this vac line into the engine compartment. Ive read about a "Go through the drivers side rubber bulkhead boot" Ive got no idea where that is any help would be great im in the middle of hooking up my aeroforce and boost gauge thanks!

Either use the steering shaft boot directly above your feet or run it through the rubber gromment on the passenger side floor under the blower motor area.

Just poke a small hole in the top of the boot and run the line straight up.

How does running the vac line through the boot work? I'm about to go out and fix my lazy vac line job I did.

I actually went through the passenger side opening once I found it it was really easy to pass through but something is wrong cause my gauge is reading in the negative.

Could there be too much line?

You're never going to see boost. Not unless you're slamming the pedal

The length of the line doesn't matter.
Make sure you have it tapped to the map and not the Baro sensor.

I got some good adapters that couple the stock vac line and go big to the T and they are super snug. Im startin to think its a bad gauge cause its sweeping about 10psi but just in the negative. Its not a big deal it fills the whole in my HUD pod for now and it was a free gauge as part of a package deal

You could always go to advance and buy a cheapo sunpro gauge...try it out and confirm the readings then return it :)

Not a bad idea! It was free to who knows, plus it doesnt match my setup so its not the end of the world if I gotta buy a new one! Do like the HUD pod though it just gives the dash a great look from stock, that coupled with my Humount interior is looking pretty trick!

When you floor it does it go postive? Just normal driving you won't see boost that's what I can see going on if that's the info I'm getting from this
