• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

p0068 randomly

ADrugDealer

Schooner Tuner
Was driving around today, decided I felt like going full racekar on a side street, so I turned the corner, and punched it. At around 4500 RPM the car threw a p0068, went into limp home, no throttle response at all only coasting. Got to the parking lot, stopped turned off the car, started it and it was only running on 4 or 5 cylinders. Turned off the car, freaking out, cleared all the codes, checked vacuum lines, started it again, ran great, did a quick pull, no code. Still running fine. What happened? Did my car just go full retard or is there something wrong. I checked the MAP vac line and plug, both were in and good. Tbody plugged in fully. Anything else?

Perhaps telling us what the code means, what car you drive etc etc would help us more.

[h=2]P0068 - Throttle Position Sensor Inconsistent with the Mass Air Flow Sensor[/h]

Possible causes
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Large vacuum leak
- Leaking air duct system
- Mass Air Flow (MAF) poor electrcial connection
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) poor electrcial connection
- Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor
- TP sensor not seated properly
- Faulty Throttle Position (TP) sensor

Sorry, its an 04 GP GTP. I checked for vacuum leaks there were none, Im thinking its the map sensor or the tb plug
