The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
I was always told 20* is where you start putting the Head Gaskets at risk.. Just thought i had heard of people pushing 18* on pump gas with a similar build...
Im not a big believer in giant timing tables.... General boost tuning states that the more boost / compression you run the less timing is nessary to reach peak combustion right at top dead center because the fuel and air is squished much closer together. When I had mine on the dyno (Keep in mind this is a l36 block so its high compression) I was running a 3.4 inch pulley on gas at the time and was running 20* of timing with no kr. Just for fun we added timing and saw no gains at all. In fact we pulled timing all the way down to 13* before we saw any power or torque loss. I still run 14* now and notice 0 change when I run any more..... heck iv tuned subarus and the same story there.... running almost 25psi of boost you only need 14 to 15* to make peak power.
Never bothered with sheets back when I was playing with that. Was mostly on the dyno to find what afr and timing the car was most happy at so I would know what to tune for. Butt dyno and the 1/4mile dyno both say that I go faster on 14* and a smaller pully (Less timing = I can run more boost) then with 18* and .2 bigger pulley.
