Can a cold air intake be put on a grad prix with california emisissions on it?

well it sayes your from NY but if your from CA then they dont give a hoot about your intake. and say hi noob

Car was most likely originally a Cali car so it already has all the emission control stuff on it. He is just wondering if it would be okay to run a CAI on a car that has the California emissions crap.

The only thing it need is a CARB E.O. compliant intake.

You'd probably need to buy a K&N if that's the case.

Well in ca they dont care about your intake but any thing else You need your e.o. number sticker

I have to disagree. I live in california and they are very picky. I had a tech give me issues with a K&N intake that is CARB legal even with the sticker.

But to answer the ops question yes an intake can be installed.

I just throw the stock air box on when smog time comes

That gets old fast. Even though smog is every 2 years here.
