SLP Loudmouth II exhaust on GXP

I installed a SLP Loudmouth II muffler on my gxp. I placed it in place of the resonator and cut out the original mufflers and just straighted piped it onto new tips. Sounds way better in person. Sure, i get a little drone but the overall sound is great. Really happy with the way it turned out.

Just checked out your youtube vid. I also have a 2006 GXP but yours sounds a thousand times better. My is bone stock. Enjoy your ride and thanks for the video your car sounds like a beast!!!!!!!!!:th_angry-teeth:

Thanks. They are great cars. Minen just has the exhaust and a K&N intake. I also have a diablo tune which Im waiting to get a diablew tune pretty soon.

how much is a little bit of drone lol? im thinking about running a setup similar to this
 
Your car sounds as beautiful as it looks. How long have you had the loudmouth 2 on it and what is different on the lm2 from the lm1? do either cause too much or too little back pressure on the engine? also is the factory piping 2.5" or 3"?

^^Backpressure is a "myth". Run whatever piping you want; it has no effect. Factory piping is like 2 1/4".

**** this SLP stuff tho, man.

I had a 3" ZZP catted downpipe, SLP LM2 resonator, and SLP LM mufflers.

It sounded like a pick up and droned out the ass. It was horrible.

Cut the converter off and put Borla Pro XS mufflers on it and it is a trillion times better.

How do you have drone issues with the V8? Me I've got Magnaflow exhaust with ZZP DP plus ported TB & intake manifold and there's no drone. Just V8 rumble.
 


^^^im totes aware. My current car is a GXP & my last car was a 99' GTP. Just nvr had the drone in the GXP. I mean sure it's loud it's just not that annoying 'dead girl from the Grudge' drone that you get from the 3800.
 
Do you still have a resonator and cat?

If so...Maggy mufflers are usually quiet as hell...so that's probably why it doesn't drone.
