3.5 pulley on stock manifolds

Hi just wondering if anyone has run a 3.5 pulley on a gtp with stock manifolds and ubend delete cone filter and 104s stock tune with no knock my dad wants more piwer in his gp and i have 3.5 i dont use

Thanks matt i have a ls1m somewhere. But its weird my gtp had knock and i had ssic and headers but that was because of an exhaust leak and vac leak

Mine went knock free after doing springs/1.84's.

I had like 2* at the shift before that.

Also did PEM's and 180*/plugs/wires/filters/mounts at that time too.

So, could have just been crappy tune-up stuff too.

Ya getting ssic to seal is a pain and my sd headers were leakibg so when my car goes back together with the new cam and complete rebuild from heads up i am gunna use some copper rtv hope that helps

SSIC's suck because the cores warp easy.

Get a full size IC or nothing.

As for headers, I think I've done...six sets of SD's? Only one car had issues...and that was the blown out crappy Chinese flex.

Which, just delete that crap if you've got solid mounts.

You can't just guess on pulley size.

Just because you'll have valvetrain work, doesn't mean you can run a small pulley. The pulley size is dictated on how well the car flows and how good the tuner is.

You could run a 2.5" pulley on a stock car with no timing and a 10:1 AFR. Doesn't mean it'll be fast or reliable.

And im getting it tuned by intense since my cam is a stage 3 intense cam so i figured they would know how to tune that cam well oh and 60lb injectors

Sounds just like my set up. I don't see much KR at the 1-2 shift. But occasionally 3-5* at the 2-3 shift. I just need an actual tune.

That's what I'm saying...

Just because someone can run it...doesn't mean you can.

And just because you've got "X" mods doesn't mean you can run "Y" pulley...

It'd be faster on a 3.4" if you were knocking on a 3.2" anyways.

Pulley envy is the death of all these cars.
