looking for some pointers here. if i floor the car from a stop or around 25 as i get up ato 70 the check engine light will start flashing. this is pissing me off because i just bought the car recently and it only has 77k miles. should i try a tune up?, change the super charger oil? is it a bigger issue? this is a performance car and every time i try having some fun with it i shouldnt have to worry about it blowing up. anybody ever had this problem before? also my blinkers do not function properly when the car has been sitting in hot or cold weather.

Flashing means misfires.

I strongly advise you to never go WOT untill this issue is fixed.

Start with new plugs and wires. Ac delco Iridium plugs are the best for a stock motor.

Make sure the coils arent all nasty or cracked along the side.

See if that does anything.

its not grounds, flashing means misfires, either needs a tune up bad, or the cat is clogged up. pretty much the only 2 things that will make the light flash.

the blinkers not working could be the drl module if the directional's are part of the drl lights, they were on my regal, ( right side quit working drl module fixed it.) i know its a bonnie. not sure if its the same.

or a bad bulb socket. i also had one of them go bad.

or the multi switch has crapped out.

What year bonnie. Take a look at my sig and let's get this fixed up.

First off.. flashing check engine light does not mean misfires. It means there is a possible catalyst damaging condition. Which is often misfires.

Super unleaded, you should not use anything but 91 or higher. Being in Mi, you can probably get 93 all day long. It's the only food for your car.
Tune up. At 77K miles and that the last charged Bonne was built in 2003, you likely need plugs, wires, air filter etc etc.
Bosch plugs, not your friends, they'll screw up faster than red MSD coil packs. Stay away from both of those.

Start there and let us know.

Also check your front motor mount. It's prone to fail in both 92-99 and 00-03 versions.

If I'm not mistaken the hazard switch is on top of the column. It is possible to be that switch causing the blinker problem.
The blinking CEL..... never ran across that before so no help there.

changed the plugs and wires today and shes running like a champ. feels like a i gained a lot of power. running like it should now. thanks for all the help. now on to the blinker issue.
