My buddy has an all new setup this year so they were hunting for a larger engine during the off season and got a call from a friend that a guy in California was going bankrupt and needed the cash so he unloaded the engine pretty cheap. I haven't seen it run yet since they pull all over Ohio. I imagine I will see the truck again next week sometime after they pull it apart to check it after this weekends pull.
Curious as to what you mean by bigger engine. The diesel motors in Chevy have been the same size since 2003. Dodge has changed once since 1993 and Ford has 4 different motors but as far as displacement you can't get them bigger really unless you bore them over stock which most Chevy pullers are well dodge too. I follow the USA east points series pretty closely and I'm curious if I've seen this truck pull. My buddy pulls with them in his Ford and hangs pretty well. Is currently leading the global truck outfitters series after his win in the 2.6 class last weekend.

So yeah... got myself a new NEW job LOL
was working for past monthish with one residential HVAC company, when out of the blue i got a call from a Commercial/industrial company. I had applied back in april as a recommendation from the prof of my program. well turns out they want me..
what this all means? Well before i was just a level 2 gas tech (G2) working in dirty basements and crawl spaces etc now i will be hired on as an AC apprentice, gas tech 1 apprentice (g1) my own service truck, benifits after 3 mo, uniform etc.
Starts off not much different in pay, but within 5 yrs after completing the apprentice stuff im looking at over 80k a year. Needless to say im a little stoked, and ready to get into the big time!
