how does a subway run out of bread....talk about no more business that day

Poor management/planning.

It takes a long time to bake bread, especially on the scale that they do. It was around 6pm, they close at 10pm.

At the time they had pizzas also, and i think flatbread sandwiches too, but who wants that ****?

Got to work on a 1000+ HP pulling truck engine last night. It was great. Pulled the charger and intake off to try to figure out why he blew an intake gasket on his second run. The heads are o-ringed so we think that there is no gasket needed. We removed all of the old silicone and gasket material and placed the intake back on the motor without any gaskets. Fit couldn't have been more spot on. I did not have my camera with me or I would have taken some pics of this beast.

Specs on said pulling truck?

I won't get to see it again this week. He is pretty secretive about it though. I will take some pics when I am out at the shop again. All I know is the engine came out of California and its big. He is saving monies for a newer charger too. Once that is on it will be even more of a monster.

I thought big motors were banned in California because they're killing the planet? lol

My buddy has an all new setup this year so they were hunting for a larger engine during the off season and got a call from a friend that a guy in California was going bankrupt and needed the cash so he unloaded the engine pretty cheap. I haven't seen it run yet since they pull all over Ohio. I imagine I will see the truck again next week sometime after they pull it apart to check it after this weekends pull.

Is your road pavement or that compacted stone dust stuff?

Used to be gravel but its been chip and sealed for awhile now. They must be redoing it today. They just pour tar and gravel and more tar and its a big nasty mess until traffic packs the stone. We don't get fancy pavement out in the country.

they do this to the roads in Harraman NY where my brother lives, they do it to the paved roads, makes them last longer, but is a mess for a week or two till the dust settles.
