wEnt toNapa and got 6 605 autolote coppers and went to install them and I can't sseen to get the boot or that metal thing to come off. I tried twisting and pulling and they won't nudge at all . Anyone have any tips or tricks. Thank you

take them metal boots off and toss them in the trash, then rip the rubber boot off the plug, wearing leather gloves will protect your hands when you do the twist and rip to get them off. it takes some pulling, but they will come off.

its when the boot breaks free you need/would like to have gloves on cause your hand will fly when it breaks free.

as long as your putting new wires on you can pull, twist grab with pliers, cut the boot side, what ever to get them off, as they are going in the trash anyway.

man i spent a good two to three hrs swapping out my plugs and wires finally got them off i dont think the previous owner ever changed their wires just grip with pliars and pry with flat head

I did my bfn three in ten minutes with a spark plug boot removal tool . Basically a pair of long needle nose and the ends like circular and at. A 45°

My 04 was the same way. 67k and all original plugs and wires. I got the front three pretty easy. The back 3, I broke 2 of the plugs so I could save the wires!
