Trans woes

Okay so I bought a pop up camper and while I'm trying to convince the woman to pick up an ss trailblazer, my short term solution is Buick upgrades.

I'm in the market for a Trans cooler and shift kit... Well a hitch too but I think I got that covered.

From what I've read, Transgo shift kit is decent but is intense worth the extra $50?

And I know nothing about tranny coolers, someone enlighten me?

Go trans go.
As for the trans cooler there's tons of options. The Hayden cooler #403 would be a good option. I have two of those now but tomorrow am installing my new cooler. You can get pics on my my ride thread on how the coolers look and all.

For the record, I never found those pictures. I wanted to see them too.

To the OP I would go with the TransGo, at least I did and I'm very happy with it. I made a write-up as well that is very detailed: http://www.grandprixforums.net/diy-...t-kit-4t65e-very-detailed-pictures-79486.html

I bought a Hayden 403 cooler, I'm just waiting for a day that I have time to install it. I also wanted to see a few other people's setups before I do mine. It comes with what you'll need: hose, hose clamps, and mounting pins.

for some reason i cant find the pics of my hayden coolers i have running now but i will be taking them off this weekend so ill take pics of them and how to install for yall

Alright thanks, I'd like to see the mounted position on the condenser and where the lines tap into the stock lines.

To the OP, does the picture showing the contents kind of give you a good idea of what needs to be done? You will need to tap into the stock cooler lines in some way. I know of a few and am waiting on seeing other people's opinions on what's the best.

Tryin to sell your used Hayden?

Also sorry for the bad news...I won't be doing the cooler this weekend...my sunroof is leaking again so time to pull it all apart again

Picked up a 403 today.

Now about the shift kit... My tune has increased trans fluid pressure, how will a Transgo work with that? My shifts are currently pretty quick and firm, what are they gonna feel like after a kit?

I have the Zzp canned tune and put in the shift kit a month ago. No difference felt, that was noticeable with the transgo. Hard parts soon to go bye bye

you will need to add a little fluid to the tranny but not to much. i will be installing mine next weekend hopefully

Well are you happy with your downshifts? That was the biggest difference I felt with my shift kit. They became much quicker.
