Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My 05 GTP vs 06 350z

depending on the header brand and intake, sometimes stock parts are better

certain brand/type of exhaust and intake parts could even make the car slower

Agree completely. I have seen a LS2 GTO lose 6whp by adding paceleakers. I feel like it would have gained it back maybe +1-2 hp with a tune

Iron Indian's GTO made close to 450 RWHP on his LS2 car with an intake/PS LT's/Pacesetter exhaust with different mufflers and a cam...I don't think it's in the parts...mostly...I think it'd be in the tune.

Thats an ls2. Z's dont respond well to mods. The brand can mean the difference between power gained and power lost. Ex: megan exhaust vs tomei

a good example would be the 350z's intake

the stock intake is already really efficient that by swapping to a $500+ BEST intake to buy for the z you maybe net 1hp

ive never heard of an ls not gaining hp by swapping stock manifolds and headers, id bet the tune would be the culprit, then again anything can happen

My point? You seemed to have mixed up responses. You must have missed the fact where acid's post and blue's posts said nothing about mods to a Z.. but that's what you correlated it to.

the discussion changed to how mods effect a car, seeing as this thread is about a z, it was just simply a point about maybe why some z's seem faster than others

Right. Theyre talking about the gains from a tune regardless of mod brands. On a different car. Right after the argument was made that the Z is easy to mod incorrecly.
