• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Given up on coilovers

Instead I'm looking to buy some Intrax springs from TM Engineering. I'm going to pair them up with KYB AGX's and yes I'll be getting pogo washers to top it off.

The golden question here is, do I need to replace my strut mounts/plates/boots or can I reuse my stock ones? None of them have been replaced before but I've never had problems with them performance wise/noise wise.

Just my own personal opinion... I would replace the strut mounts while you are there. Save you the time later when they do go out... not if. As for the strut boots... reuse if good like Red said.

Why are you giving up on them?

I don't really feel like shelling out $1,400+ for coils that are made with KYB's. I'm really big on the handling department so I have high standards for coils. I can't run really stiff springs with AGX's because their valving isn't good enough to handle them. If I can't run 8k springs (448 lbs) I won't bother.

Unlike a lot of the people on here I don't care for ride quality. I'm more interested in going fast around corners than fast in a straight.

Im running #400 springs and i have no issues with handling at all, Anymore and it seems overkill for these cars IMO, its a 4 door family car not a racecar, dont expect it to handle like one.

Yes yes, 4door/wbody/yadda yadda. How often do you hit the bump stops and what's your pogo situation like?

Really digging the look of your sedan btw.

So why don't you go with the koni strut cartridge inserts they are made for lower stiffer and shorter stroke setup requirements. 124 bucks a piece
