The Blue Pig-My GTO

Yea yea ... Sure Sure

I can feel you crying all the way down here :th_nanana:

I want one so bad. Told the GF when she graduates and gets bank from her nursing job I want to get a GTO, G8, C5, or a Trailblazer SS. Oddball out in left field for the TBSS but they are so awesome, 2 friends with them and I want one too, LS2 with mods is straight beastly in the 1/4 and they make nice sleepers when you debadge them. So 1 of the 4 is my hope once we get monies... until then... no love. :th_winking:

GF gonna be an RN? That's what my wife does, but it seems like we mighta talked about that when you picked up those shelf ornaments... I mean uh, brakes...

I love the look of the TBSS, local guy has one and it's purrrrdy! I almost went with a C5, I bid on a Z06 actually. But I don't like how you sit in them, or fbody cars for that matter. I'll be thinking of ya when I'm banging through the gears on my way home tonight

Mods will be light. A small drop, some wheels, an intake, and a set of mufflers. Keeping this one stockish for now. Not planning on getting crazy with it. Because I'm planning on picking up a Fiero later this year.

<<<<more interested in Fiero mods??? Love them little things, regret never having bought one................yet

Plans are to pick up a Fiero GT and eventually do a L67 swap, unless I purchase one that's already complete which I would prefer. I would also love to make the Fiero a corner carver since I have yet to build a car to handle corners.

Nice, needs exhaust, so quiet lol

Also i hope you left off the engine covers

Also if u want a little weight reduction, you can remove the usless tow brace under the spare wheel well, you could also remove the brace for the fuel tank and get a light weight skid plate instead of a heavy piece of steel, also those 18's weigh like 40 lbs a wheel.

Could start off modding with a svede or varam intake and see some decent gains

Agreed on the exhaust its way too quiet. I've been listening to different setups and its hard to decide. I like the way Borla and the Corsa sound. The flowmaster isn't too bad and straight pipes sound terrible IMO. Way too much popping.

Engine covers were the first thing that came off and luckily there was no signs of cuts or rubbing on the fuel line. Good to know about the weight reduction stuff. I would love a Svede intake, but it looks like I might have to find one used. Their wait time is ridiculous and guys are waiting like 10 weeks. F that mess, I'm not that patient.

I'm browsing simple stuff right now, and looking at getting Larry's shifter that is threaded so I can add a new shift knob. I have a few knobs in mind, but I'm leaning towards a splash blue/black or all blue knob with the Pontiac logo. Although i like the Indian head logo, I'm leaning towards the arrow head one since its a newer Pontiac.

i think it will flow nicely with the interior being blue/black.

How loud is the T56 in the GTO? I know in the Cobra it's noticeable, if you want to quite it down a good bit I suggest Bob's shifter gasket. I bought one when I got a Steeda short throw for the Cobra, and again when I bought an MGW.

Welcome

Super jealous. My favorite color combo. Those blue seats are so quirky but I love them.
Thanks. I'm really enjoying the car

Get one of these shirts too.

Just needs to be a darker blue to match the car.

Its really not bad at all, but I appreciate the link if it starts to get loud ill know what to do.

Lss is a good idea, i hate the factory shift knob. I have the JHP short throw swifter and love it, really shortened my 2-3 shift time, and i don't accidentally smash my radio anymore

Another thing you can do is in the trunk, pull back the carpet on the left side, and behind the carpet mounted to the metal is the factory amplifier, turn the knob up and enjoy the bass from the factory sub :)

here is my corsa sport catback, i have stainless works headers and no cats

you might already know or not but another thing is make sure you have a good alignment and check to make sure your tires aren't rubbing your struts in the front, these cars are notorious for strut rub (mostly with the 17'' wheels with 245's)

^ your GTO sounds freaking sick.

Yeah the factory shift knob is comfortable for daily driving, but the minute I try to enjoy spirited driving the shifter/knob becomes absolute garbage. All I got to say is I'm glad they designed it with reverse lockout. Lol

I really need to look around a little better because I didn't realize i had easy access to the amp. I'll have to up it a bit and throw on some old school Busta Rhymes.

Thank you good sir. Your decision would be an excellent one if you find yourself going down that path someday.

Shift knob takes 2-3 weeks to custom make and ship so I will update once it arrives until then some boring pics to gaze upon.

All washed and ready to cruise

Can you guess who we had to keep slowing down for?

How I felt each time we had to wait.

Shift ball arrived while I was out of town:

Unfortunately, Larys short stick is on back order so there's no telling when I'll be able to install everything. Until then the shift ball will sit on a shelf.
