More engine problems..

So randomly my car has started leaking what appears to be oil.. It's never leaked a drop of anything the past two months i've owned it until just the other day. I got under the car today to change the oil and noticed the leaking was coming from around the trans pan area. The pan wasn't leaking but something above it had soaked everything all the way down and it was dripping now. The whole front axle appeared to be covered and dripping with what appears to be oil. So I changed the oil and put the car back down and backed it out and looked under the hood and noticed under throttle a tiny bit of smoke appears from the rear-passenger side of the engine. Just a little smoke and only under throttle.. I also heard a lot of light rattling which I thought was just a noisy pulley since I had just changed the coupler in my supercharger but now i'm not so sure.. Any ideas? Please help..

Valve cover gaskets? That can leak all the way down the back of the engine. Can cause smoke with oil leaking onto the hot exhaust.

Only while revving? More exhaust flow whole revving means hotter exhaust so more smoke.

That's my guess.

Thats what I thought.. My truck did that at one time. I just thought it was strange that one day it was fine and the next, bam.

Run your finger under the edge of the valve cover edge. Is is leaking?

I know.. it seems too simple of a test to diagnose it, life doesn't have to be difficult.

if the pass side axle was wet with oil, im voting oil pressure sensor blew out, its in the oil filter housing.

If not maybe the high pressure PS line with a pinhole.

i blew 3 of them, i now have a brass plug in the hole, im not wasting another 12 bucks on a new one.

I got it checked out by the shop I bought the car from. He said it was just leaking from the oil pan and its a normal thing.. It was all clean up by the oil filter. I checked up by the valve cover and it didn't really seem oily but more just dirty.. He said he didn't think it was the valve cover and was pretty sure it was just the pan leaking a little. He drives a grand prix gt and says his leaks a little from the same place too. Sound right?

3800 engines are known to leak oil. oil pans leak all the time.

Thats what I figured. I just thought it was weird that it was all over the place.
