• Failure to follow these rules may result in your threads being locked, deleted, or moved. Depending on the severity of your actions, or frequency of your actions, your user account could be suspended or banned. These rules are to help protect both buyer and seller.

    1. CONSOLIDATE all of your for sale items into ONE thread only. This means there will be NO making multiple sales threads for different items regardless if the parts are related or not.

    2. PRICE IS REQUIRED. We do not permit ads without an asking price for each item. "Best Offer" is not an allowable substitute for posting a price. You may ask for $1 but a price must be listed regardless. If a price is not listed with in the first 24 hours of making your sale thread IT WILL BE LOCKED or DELETED. Once a price is listed a bidding war is not permitted. If the seller gets an offer that meets his asking price, the seller should honor the asking price and sell for that amount.

    3. EBAY LINKS AND OTHER LINKS. We allow links to ebay ads, but you MUST have a buy-it-now price posted, or an asking price to stop the auction in your ad here (Not just in the link). If it is from another site or from here, do not use a link but post the full text instead with pictures if you have them listed. If a BIN price is not posted, then your thread will be DELETED.

    4. CITY / STATE are required info for each ad. Information must be posted in the first post of thread, NO EXCEPTIONS. Buyers and sellers reserve the rights to privately ask for full contact information on any purchase or sale. 24 hour notice will be given, if you do not comply your post will be DELETED.

    5. NO TWO PARTY SALES. This means no more "I'm selling for a friend" posts and will be deleted immediately with no notice. Seller assumes all responsibility of anything they post for sale.

    6. NO FEELER THREADS. You are either selling it or you aren’t selling it.

    7. POST COUNT AND/OR TIME LIMIT. We are requesting that you spend some time with us before you start a For Sale thread. A pre-determined minimum number of posts will be required or 1 year since creating the account + an intro thread (just so we know you aren’t the Prince of Africa). Any for sale thread posted out of the For Sale section to circumvent the rules will result in being deleted. Those who do meet the criteria and post outside the section will have their thread moved, constant violation of this will result in an infraction.

    8. NO BUMPING OR TT’ing YOUR THREAD MORE THAN ONCE IN 48 HOURS. Don’t worry your thread will still be a bold read until a user reads it and if people are really interested they will let you know. Post warning will be issued if in violation and on the 3rd warning, the thread will just be locked.

    9. NO THREAD DUMPING OR I DON’T LIKE YOUR PRICE. Don’t post in a person’s thread just to tell them they are too high, either move along and say nothing or throw an offer to them. The person can sell it at whatever price they think someone is willing to pay. Offenders will be issued a warning, if it is a constant issue then an infraction will be issued.

    10. KEEP YOUR THREAD UP TO DATE. This is really for your benefit, so you don’t get 10 PMs asking if you still have it when you already sold it.

    11. NO WEAPONS. As Admins we have determined that no weapons will be allowed to be sold, this includes knives, guns and anything else deemed a weapon (even if its a wall hanger only). We ask that if you want to sell these items you seek out the appropriate websites elsewhere to do so.

    12. Pictures are REQUIRED. Pictures of all items for sale. This is to help BOTH seller and buyer. As a seller it is MUCH easier to sell something if you have pictures of it. As a buyer you feel better seeing exactly what you are buying. Pictures should contain the item/s for sale and a sign of some kind that has your username on it. 24 hour notice will be given, if you do not comply your post will be DELETED.

FRAUD & RISK. Buy and Sell at your own risk. Grand Prix Forums and its staff are not responsible if someone rips you off or doesn't send parts out in a timely manner. This classifieds section is a free service for the community, and it is YOUR responsibility to handle all transactions in a low-risk method. DO NOT contact us if there is a dispute between you and someone else, we are NOT INVOLVED. You can help minimize fraud risk by doing these suggestions:

Pay using PAYPAL, using a credit card. This way, if a part does not arrive, you can do a charge back through your credit card company. If you gift it, then you have no recourse to get your money back when things fall through. Pay the 3% and have the buyer protection. Using someone else's paypal and gifting to pay for goods is violating Paypal's Terms of Service.

Always ask for full name, residential address, phone numbers of both buyers and sellers. An honest seller should have no problem disclosing this info to you privately.

Shipping things C.O.D. is risky. Try to use UPS or Fedex, so that you can track shipments. Have someone sign for it if it is expensive.

Ask for references from other members, hopefully from other members who have been registered for longer than one year and are active here.

Use your gut feeling. If something seems too good to be true, or a seller/buyer seems a little shady, don't take the risk.

    TIPS:
-Post pictures: with mobile phones these days and auto uploads, it’s not even really hard anymore. Have it automatically drop in Photobucket, grab the Img tag link and paste it in.

-Give good contact information if you aren’t going to be on here a lot.

-If you are going to disappear for an extended time (vacation, time in jail, what have you), then give us a quick note that you aren’t going to be around. People will trust you a little more.

-Look around and gauge your price with other items. Just cause you bought it for $1000, doesn’t mean it’s now worth $1,200 or even the original $1,000. You are free to ask what ever you want, but an item that is priced right will sell quicker.
  • The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

SOLD Delete please!

This is my 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula Edition, with a 3800 Series II L67 V6 motor swap, she is my baby! They made less then 6,000 of these cars making it pretty rare, and as the days go by, more and more collectible! The motor and transmission are from a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, that had roughly 40,000 miles when pulled. This is a "project car" and is CURRENTLY NOT DRIVEABLE! I purchased the car from the Original owner family (Father and son owned prior to me). It is a born and raised Georgia car with ZERO rust on the cradle or body, the only rust to speak of is some very minor surface rust on the battery tray. The tires are older, but show no signs of age, very sticky Yokohama AV1-60i with almost .300 tread left (over 1/4inch, almost like new). The battery was also new last year. The car has AC, but the system is not hooked up. The headlight motors work, The power window motors also work, but are slow. The paint is original, has plenty of scratches, etc, and quite faded. it cleans up OK, but I had plans to repaint the car to its original glory. The body itself has very few minor flaws the two most major I have pictured, and they are simply small cracks in the fiberglass panels. The trunk liner is gone, and the trunk has been bent in slightly to clear the headers. The interior is all original and complete. It is pretty clean, the drivers seat is torn, and the passengers seat has a small tear on the side (pictured). Odometer shows 182,595, but the title reads EXEMPT due to the age of the car. In Georgia as of 2013 it is able to register as a ANTIQUE vehicle, and that means no inspections, or emissions testing. The insurance on the car is very cheap, I paid $90 a month, where my 1997 Buick Regal costs me twice that!

I PERSONALLY HAVE OVER 300 HOURS OF TIME IN THE MOTOR BUILD AND ORIGINAL SWAP

The drivetrain swap was done to the car, and driveable. I had the car registered and insured until recently. The stock 3.8L supercharged V6 motor produces 240 Horsepower, and 280 Ft-Lbs of torque. The only things that were not completed when the drivetrain swap was done is some minor wiring such as the speedo, tach, and odometer are not wired to the harness yet, but the car ran perfect, and drove awesome. Gobs of torque felt with the custom solid torque strut. This winter I pulled the car into my shop to drop the cradle and do some performance modifications to the drivetrain.

The mods to the motor are as follow:
Ported TB
Ported LIM
Ported Gen III M90 Eaton Blower with silencer ports block off plate installed
ZZP MPS system installed for easy pulley swaps, with 3.1, 3.25, and 3.4 Pulleys
ARP Head stud kit
ARP Header Bolts
ARP Rocker Bolts
Aluminum LIM gasket upgrade
Comp Cams XP Cam
Comp Cams 105# Valve Springs
Comp Cams Valve Locks
Stainless Steel SI Valves
ZZP Titanium Valve Spring Retainers
Ported and Polished Heads
Stainless Steel PCV covers
Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump
(6) Siemens Deka 60# EV1 Fuel Injectors
ZZP High Volume Water Pump
ZZP Flex Plate
ZZP 10.5MM Plug Wires (red)
ZZP Modified Fuel Rails (black powder coated)
ZZP Polished Aluminum Valve Covers
ZZP Drilled Thermostat
ZZP oil Volume kit
Speed Daddy Headers with upgraded clamps
3" to dual 2.5" Y pipe
Dual Glasspacks
2.5" tail pipes with dual, Authentic Chevrolet C6 Corvette tips
TransGo shift-kit installed in the 4L60E-HD Transmission
Custom Low mount Alternator Bracket

New Radiator
All New Poly Bushings (front set needs to be installed still)
(4) New KYB GR-2 Struts
New Stainless Brake Lines all around (front set needs to be installed still)

When I was driving the car, before I dropped the cradle to add all the new performance parts it was in great driving condition, started every time, ran perfect with 0KR, shifted excellent transmission was very tight, never overheated, and stopped excellent. When It is put back together it will be an amazing street machine! I had plans to have the car tuned to run on E85(Ethanol), and all the modifications to do that have been done, or run it on pump gas no problem.

To finish this project car the fuel pump and lines must be hooked up, install alternator and starter, ignition system installed, hook up the plumbing (coolant lines, vacuum lines, etc) fill all fluids (Oil, Trans, Coolant), then hook up the wiring harness to the motor and transmission, Make the final torquing to cradle, and motor mount bolts, then it is ready to start and drive! All the parts needed for the car to be put back together are here. PLUS I have several large boxes worth of good spare stock 3800 motor parts, and the original OEM Fiero parts. The motor has not been run since the modifications have been made, so all of the parts are still NEW AND NEVER USED. The 3800 does not have a break in procedure for the cam, so it is ready to run! I would highly recommend a professional tune be done on the PCM for maximum gains from the modifications. The setup on this motor is highly capable of over 300 Horsepower to the WHEELS, and even more TORQUE. I DAILY DRIVE a Buick Regal GS 100+ miles, it also has the same motor as my Fiero, but with less mods done. The mods to it are, High Compression Series III N/A Block, VS cam, Ported Blower with 3.5 pulley, Speed Daddy Headers, full exhaust, and was Dyno Tuned @ 271HP and 331FT-LBS TO THE WHEELS. The Fiero has a more powerful setup in a lighter RWD Platform, and a TON more money invested. I have tons of experience working on, and modifying these 3.8L supercharged motors...

I have $7,418.78 invested in JUST PARTS for the Fiero to date, and am very meticulous about keeping receipts, I do not have every receipt ever, but I do have most of them. I understand that my loss will be someones gain, and am at a point and time in my life where projects and toys are not my priority, so as sad as it makes me it is time for me to move on from this beautiful classic collectors car.

JUST SO IT IS CLEAR THE CAR IS CURRENTLY A ROLLER AND IS NOT COMPLETELY PUT BACK TOGETHER. THIS MEANS YOU WILL NEED A ROLLBACK WITH A WINCH OR SIMILAR TO LOAD THE CAR ONTO A TRAILER BECAUSE IT CANNOT BE STARTED AND DRIVEN, IF YOU HAD ENOUGH MAN POWER IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO PUSH THE CAR ONTO A TRAILER, I AM WILLING TO HELP, BUT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MOVING OF THE CAR/PARTS.

I have some videos I took of me driving the car right before pulling the car into my shop this winter. These ARE with the 3.8L V6 motor in the car.
I can link you to these on Youtube if you message me and ask for them.

The car is currently located at my home shop, in between Powder Springs, and Marietta, GA off of Dallas HWY (120)
I highly suggest, as I would with any vehicle purchase, that you contact me and personally come by to see the car in person. I am not trying to hide anything, and have been completely honestly throughout the listing about the vehicle, but of course it is always better to view in person! I have hundreds of pictures of the car from through out the build, so if you have any questions PLEASE ASK THEM BEFORE BIDDING. I did my best to think of everything to say about the project, but cannot garentee all the small details have been mentioned. I will have no problem answering any questions, or emailing you pictures of anything specifically requested.

I work week days, and attend school, so I am a busy person, but will do my best to keep an eye on my email. Feel free to EMAIL, TXT, or CALL me with any questions as well. If you are seriously interested get in touch with me, I am a nice guy, and am willing to work with you. Thank You,
Chris (989)-312-1376, [email protected]

Re: 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula, built 3800SC swap

that happens with ebay you sell it and they dont come through or they try and talk you down. also had people from over seas or merchent marines trying to buy it at asking price and then steal your car. Its sad when you cant trust what people say. I do wish you the best of luck on selling it....wish you would have finished it first......................

Re: 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula, built 3800SC swap

If u want to own a car like that u can't be afraid of what it needs to be finished that's a mostly done project for sure

Re: 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula, built 3800SC swap

Re: 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula, built 3800SC swap

Car is still available, sadly if it doesnt sell soon I will have to sell the body as a roller to a gentleman who made an offer that is hard to refuse. Then I will be parting out the motor, etc...
