a manager from autozone wants to race for cash

What is brake boost, just taking the left foot and putting it all the way down on the brakes and then slowly hitting the gas to let the RPMs up? Like too 2k or 3k RPM and then launching it by taking the brakes off and put in like half throttle and the full on after like 30-40MPH? I thought you would just mash it but then again you will get wheel spin .

True but too much wheel spin on a RWD will kill speed. I think even on a AWD it can kill speed but then again AWD can launch really well. However its not much of the start of the race but more of how it ends is what matters.
 
That car in particular is even faster than that. He has went as quick as an 8.74 @ 168. Absolutely insane. No one has pushed towards his times recently so he hasn't taken the car out in awhile.
 


I think the 30 lbs of boost threw him for a loop. He really doesn't do well with imports usually. He knows muscle more than anything.

If he knows muscle cars then he should try this 2000HP GTO i saw in youtube. Thing did the 1/4 mile in 4 secs, I did not believe it till i saws it.
 


Like I said I will race just started working nights at this new job last time I saw the guy was in Wal-Mart late, buying ported heads right now so when I get my first check I will use that money, not going to have the girlfriend help but still going to take her out too. I just don't want to take the chance he has mods I can't see and lose the money that I have right now for the heads, and the little time I'm up I have to run and do things or take care of my grandparents so its on the list of things to do, if you want to clean my grandfathers foot everyday and put the 600 dollar cream ( after insurance ) to help with his skin graft they had to do and do what ever more they need done ill track the guy down for you guys who really want me to race, but right now I really don't have time and I still need to make sure I have time for the girlfriend in all that, but I do promise I will race the guy lol
 


I owe a lot to both of them that's at least I can do for him he has helped me out with my car, if it wasn't for him my car would have sat for a long time because I didn't have money at the time to do things it needed done I paid him back but he still can't do it himself

Thank you a lot my grandfather is a great man served in the navy, and has done what he had to do to raise a family, it might suck but I do what I need to do for them out because they help me out a lot more then what I ever can do right now
