Alright so my engine seized up so i got a new motor. Its from a 2001 GT w/127k

What are some easy parts to replace while its out. Ill have about a month before i put it in. I wanna put as many new parts possible right now cuz im tired lf messing with it. The ones on the outside that are almost bolt and go like waterpump ect.

Help me make a list.

Swaps:

Swapping my gtp tranny and maybe supercharger on the gt
Left gtp front top motor mount cuz the one on the new motor is broke
Gtp wiring harness if i can
Gtp maf sensor cuz it was only like 2 weeks old before the motor seized
Gtp power steering resivior

NEW parts to buy for it:

Waterpump
Belt on side
Spark plugs
All fluids changed
List stuff im forgetting

If all that works and motor runs good w/o any suprises for a while couple thousand miles put on it

Extra crap buying just to get it all out of the way.
Front passenger door lock
Both rear window motors
Brakes
Rotors
Full Flowmaster Exhaust
My passenger door speaker doesnt work still im gonna fix that somehow probably the amp
New stereo in it
Need lights for the interior theyre all out or missing
Loose sunroof plastic square peice thing fix
Window/door panel trim fix

Also when my car was working it kept throwing fuel level sensor code...fix? Gas cap? Lol i think its cuz i overfilled my gas tank a couple times. When i get gas i always fill up. i put the gas nozzle in and let it go til it stops.

Holy crap thats a lot. I might as well buy a old school and get it customed..

It is a good idea to replace the seals and gaskets on the engine before installing, such as the intake manifold gaskets, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, coolant elbows, front and rear main oil seals, oil pressure sender unit. Might want to change the upper and lower radiator hoses too, along with the serpentine belts. If your putting the supercharger on it, you can follow everything needed for a topswap for the engine. You might also want to change the sensors too while it is out, all depends on if it is in your budget. Also, while the engine and transmission are apart, you might want to consider installing a new torque converter seal.

Ive got a problem takin my motor out. Its in park and wont shift out of park. Its not on a hill. The battery is out hell half of the front end is off radiator, fans, belts , alternator ,air box, top 3 bellhousing bolts on tranny and the computer.

I dont know wat to do whats the problem never had this problem before on a car...ever on any car

If you're trying to move the car to a better location, turn the key so you can turn the steering wheel, and pop the cable off of the gear selector on top of the tranny. Then move the selector two clicks. That's sets the trans in neutral and you can push the car freely. Once its parked, set the e-brake and block it.

Now might be a good time to swap to solid mounts. The grease filled motor mount can explode and create a royal mess of things. So especially the lower engine mount and trans mount. While the engine is out you can clean up the subframe and hit it with some rust preventer. I bedline sprayed my engine bay while I had my engine out. Might also be a great time to work on the suspension upgrades, namely the front sway bar. Headers would be a great thing to do while its out also. Not much room for that rear manifold once its in the bay.

Oh yeah.. also while the battery was out of my car, the key wouldn't come out of the ignition and I couldn't move the shifter in the car. Once it was reconnected it was fine. Seems normal

There is a small hole , suppose to have a plastic cover piece, On the bottom of the steering wheel housing that you can stick a screwdriver into to release the key :)

same deal with the shiftier, little plug next to it, pop the cap off push down inside it and the shiftier unlocks from park.

putting the battery is the easy way in the end. it dont even need to be on tight, just make contact.
