Star Trek question.

How come on Star Trek, when they are on the holodeck and say "Freeze Program", that the monitors still show motion, and the lights still blink. If the program is frozen, and the holodeck people are frozen, why aren't the monitors and blinking lights??

Because freezing all of that stuff would be too much of a pain in the ass for the props crew.

Star trek Answer, The Holodeck will pause the program as you would pause a video game. game is paused but somethings stay active in the background .
