found out mold was growing in my trunk :( im guessing all the high pressured car washes all winter have been penetrating my trunk somewhere but not sure where. The mold is towards the back and passenger side of the bottom carpet and all over the wood looking spare tire cover. Debating if it is worth trying to save them or go get new ones

New carpet is like $150 or so.. I would get new ones if it was me personally and you have the cash to spare.

Probably the seal wearing out and not staying water-tight, at least when it comes to power-washing lol.

Is it just the board/carpet or elsewhere as well?

If its just the board/carpet piece, I would check the local JYs and see if you can find one in decent condition. Shampoo/Steam Cleaning will go along ways, but likely its the wet/saturated board underneath the carpet that will cause it to keep coming back. Mold is a pain to get rid of.

When I got my car it had a bad trunk seal. I tossed the cover made my own outta 1/2" plywood for strength mod


carpet I cleaned with a carpet cleaner. Good as new.

The white stuff on the carpet is the mold not too bad just afraid I will never get rid of it, probs will be replacing the board for sure its all bent anyways

Actually was brain storming some stronger ideas like even getting two of them from the yard and gluing them together

Will get a new board eventually.

I was quoted at work $90 for new carpet~not happening so I just had the recon guy try and clean it hopefully it will stay away

So I scored a set of roof rails today, trying to decide what color to have them, right now leaning towards black

Yes we have he##a snow up here in fargo yet, prolly record flooding to come in the next month

Looking at mad monkeys body color may be too subtle for me, ive kinda gone the black route with other things on the car (black spo grilles black inlays smoked reverse bar, tinted windows) so I kinda have a theme going
