so i ran my best pass yet at the track today (this was my second time ever to the track). i feel like i did pretty much what my car could do... my 1/4 mile time was 14.2 with an RT of .33 and a 60 foot of 2.1. definitely had the best launch in my car ive ever had. car ran perfect, hopefully it will be faster next ime i go with some more mods!

Nice 14.2. That will give allot of cars around town a run for there money :D

PS. Stay away from those nasty corvettes though.

damn good man! im gonna try to pull off a 13. i dont care if its a 13.99. gonna see if i cant nail a 1.9 60" also. we shall see in a few weeks. ill problew be around your time tho

Im ready to see your 60' times... Just remember that tire pressure this time lol. I still need to find time and go to a 1/4 mile track...all we have close is a dang 1/8 mile strip.

yea ill be sure to drop to about 28 or so this time. 45 psi wasent helping NOTHING last time. i also figured out how to launch a little better now.

i used to stall it up to about 2500 or so till the car felt like it wanted to pull away. but when you let off the brake and nailed the gas it felt like it wanted to spin. to not get it to spin you had to roll out slow then hit it. i felt like i was sitting at the line for to long and not getting that jump off the line. now i stall it up to about 1500 and more use the brake like a clutch, kinda like pop it out and roll into the gas faster. it gets me moving off the line much quicker. more of a jump start than a rolling start. we shall see tho. but im deff gunning your 60" down. which i must say was is pretty impessive. 2.06. congrats on that.

My best is 2.025 lol. Thanks tho lol. Im rooting for ya, I think you can do it!

i actually air my tires down to like 23, 24... probably is too low, but on the launch i bring it up to about 1800, then when i go on the gas i try to come down on it gradually down to the floor in about a second... its hard to do i still mess up alot. im afraid to put my tires up any more than 25 because i think it will spin... but then again you get alot of rolling resistance from a tire being THAT low

23 is low...the lowest i've went was 30/front, 40/rear. As long as you feather the throttle, you should not spin. It does take some pratice, but youll get it. As soon as the 3rd light comes on take off, that will help your reaction times and 60' times. Baby the throttle for about 8 feet then press into the gas just dont floor it, it might give you some wheel hop, and just pay attention to your lane. Im bad about wanting to look @ the car in the other lane lol.

yea even at 45 psi i dident have that much of a problem getting off the line. i could still cut a 2.15 60". i think my lauching technique could have been a little better tho which im going to try out this time. last time (and it was my first time out) i was just to excited to be there and dident really try different things. at the end of the day, they repreped the track and with me trying harder to get a better 60" (but still bad launching technice) i started to get wheel hop pretty bad.

and im HORRIBLE about looking at the other lane :D one time i was pretty much turned around backwards stairing at this truck while i was pulling on him. some guys come up to me and told me that was the funniest thing they have ever seen. i did contuie to go strait in my lane tho. i was at a muscle car track day so i got PWONED by overthing out there except like 2 or 3 cars. tdc will find out if he makes it out :D
