• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So my key fob worked for only 10 feet away and i got tired of it.
I figured how to increase the range i hope it will help some people.

So the remote control receiver is located behind the display information center.

Remove the dic by pulling from the left.
Theres a small black box behind it.
Open it.
And connect the antenna to a long speaker wire.

Now you get like 200 ft range :)
Enjoy.

Lol i guess it depend on the antenna you add.

Well its good if you are trying to find your car in the mall parking lot.

Or open the car for girlfriend from home cause she forgot her purse. :)

true. One time i lost a car at the mall. i was walking around for 3 hours during the chrismas shopping. and to make matter worse we just got the car so i forgot what it looked like.

Meh. Mine works from like 25. That's fine for me.

I drove my dads 06 the other day to work and I kept setting off the alarm by hitting the panic button in my pocket from easily 200+ft. That range is too damn high.

I know there was a bulletin issued for this, but dont have the link handy, if I find it I will post it here. But really, this is a more simpler solution than I remember the bulletin listing.
Awesome stuff, can't wait to try it myself, I get about 10 feet as well.

:)

The other solution is the key fob wire.
Which is bad.

The car originally has an antenna on the remote receiver box.

The antenna is the brown sticker you will see on it.

The thing is this sticker goes bad with the years.

The key fob gives the right power.
The receiver doesn't get it with a bad antenna.

Thats why making this wire antenna will be better.
You will get signal even if theres something in the way.

Very easy. I'll make one soon.
It's like 3 screws on dash above the pedals than you pull it and All the rest is just pulling out clips.
