alright im tying to decide if i should use my income tax money to top swap or use it for rims and tires, got around 7-800 dollars left over from income tax, what u guys think?

Depends.

How low on tread are your tires? If they are pretty worn/bald, then go that route.

But if they are in good shape and will last awhile longer, go with the top swap. You'll be quite happy with the power increase.

You can't go wrong with Boost.

Pretty much.

$700-$800 in a top swap means you'll probably spend at LEAST a grand or more with a simple tune.

Save your money and toss a Z3 kit on there.

All bolt on.

i dont need new tires i just want 245's on for some meat, and of course with better rims, as for z3 kit ill read up on that, even rims n tires can run me 1k+ so either way ill most likely spending more then i want to

Rims and tires..top swap is going to cost more then $800 but also finding rims and tires (assuming 18s w/ 245/45) might be a bit difficult in that price range.

yea i tried, and yes i plan on 245/45/18, i found a good set just its gonna run me 1200+, so gotta find option B haha

Option B is.......

Wait for it......

Just save your money and buy rims and tires when you have enough :) just because its income tax money doesn't mean you have to ball out.

haha yea i know just trying to get a feel for what i want, not gonna spend it right away till i figure it out, but looks like top swap is out cause i most likely cant afford the hassle that it comes with

It's not much hassle. A tune and some free time is what you'll need and of course piecing everything together. Doing the work is rather simple.

And chances of you finding a set of 18s w/ 245/45 on them already is well slim lol and I'm not sure how you are but I avoid most used rims since a lot of the ones I see pop up on Craigslist are curbed and that reflects the price. I rather have new rims and putting all the responsibility into myself to not curb them.

How about leather seats ?

im lookin for brand new, which is y im most likely to spend over 1k in rims and tires anyway, i do have leather seats, and my only biggest problem with the top swap is i have nooone to install it and dont have to tools or ability to do it myself

How about the first option...saving money?
with the job i have its almost impossible to save money maybe like 50 or so, and being as how im 22/ and love to hit up bars during the weekend that also dents my wallet so income tax is only time i can really do anything to my car haha

Reading and hand tools are all you need. It's a 3800 not a Ferrari no special tools or equipment required for the most part.
