What did you do to your Car today?

Didn't do much today.. Just replaced the drivers side door..

I bought it last month with the drivers side door bashed up. Had to drive it home with a rope holding the door shut.
Bought a black door from the wrecking yard, stripped it and dropped it off to be painted.. ($150 for the door and $ 350 in paint work)
I got the shell back from the paint shop Friday, hung it yesterday and re-installed everything today.

I still need to put the molding and emblems on but I can drive it now.

Good job.
But expensive.
U could tell insurance someone hit u. ;)

I noticed I got like 5% brakes today.
And rotors are rusted like they gonna break any second.
I'm gonna order from eBay or amazon.

What brand do u recommend ?

R1 Concepts...I just put the OEM style rotors (1999 Pontiac Grand Prix E-Line OE Replacement Brake Rotors) with these pads (1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Centric Premium Ceramic Pads). Put them on a week ago, and LOVE them. Total was under $200 with free shipping. Took almost almost a week to get here from CA, but I'm in OH. Probably get there a bit quicker for you...lol

Ask Billy aka 02GPinNY about the 3 yr old, 55K mile R1Concept rotors/pads on my car. He seemed impressed.

Never my car..
Put neighbor kids car back together
Did a LIM on Billy's
OMG, we did put the summer sneakers on my car..wow
Watched as Swiggles and Josh reinvented his turbo setup.
Helped (harassed) Erich during a column install on his latest.

LOL..

It didn't go home that day. Owner didn't care for my offer, he countered the next morning with $900. By that point the rusty edges of bumper cover to fender etc and other little stuff had sunken in enough that....I don't want to deal with it.

bet that guys kicking himself in the ass right now for not selling at 800 lol. especially after you gave him a brief break down what you thought was wrong, as im sure he knew all that and more himself.....

Scott...he didn't know any of that himself. If he knew anything ....he would have put the trans dipstick into it's tube instead of housing it on the cowl.

Just take off the rest of the trim. Would look way cleaner. Although great job fixing it up!

Looking good killerspeed101. It's a shame my chrome AE 077's started peeling since they are still a great looking wheel on these cars.
