had my first kill it was a good one



well believe it or not... i used to routinely hit these track close to my house at 85 plus and always grabbed air....never broke it either, however it was a 78 firebird and perhaps they built em stronger than....but nothing ever broke....except perhaps the girl i was dating at the times bladder...she once...well had an accident...if ya know what i mean....
but in all truth i don't think i ever came close to 5 feet...maybe 1+ tops.....mega fun it was though
 
Ya whether or not you damage your vehicle from jumping it has a lot to do with the landing, if you land on a sloped landing basically no harm no foul, but if you land flat like my Park Avenue did and have completely shot struts like I did that's when bad stuff happens lol. The suspension has a lot to do with it too cause I have jumped several trucks with stiff suspensions over the same tracks going even faster and nothing bad ever happened.
 
yea the firebird did always land on the downslope...nice and easy, but be realistic a foot is much different then 5 feet....i thin k 5 feet woulda killed the bird...lol
 


Something just occured to me; this may have happened exactly the way he's claiming. But he didn't actually win; he got punked. Let's look at the beginning and the end of his original post.

i started laughing until i came to some train tracks at 90 mph. i hit the 1st set and went about 5 feet in the air........now i have 2 cracked taillights a cracked bumper and i took a chunk out of the pontiac thing in the rear bumper.

Seems to me that the brother did a very good job of baiting the OP into hitting train tracks at a high rate of speed, catching some air, and causing damage to his car.
 


Wonder how many of his brothers friends were standing off to the side getting a hell of a laugh. Be nice if someone had some footage.

I give you props for figuring this out man...but the best part about this thread was it NOT making sense...now we gotta throw another curve ball at it...

So how about he comes to kansas city...there are LOTS of stock GTP's here that he could race...and get brutally RAPED by:th_biggrin2:
