• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Poly Motor Mounts

Want to buy some of these from someone or maybe from a site... Is the offset worth getting? I see it says it moves the motor forward more, so would that mean exhaust and everything will shift as well? I have the Randomtech downpipe which has no flex, and I don't want it to start leaking if something gets moved just a hair the wrong way

You would probably run into problems with headers and other things. I bought the set from Intense, they are very nice.

Only get the off set ones if your CV shafts are binding from being too lowered with springs such as Eibach's.

If your not having problems, then keep the same stock position...just upgrade to the POLY mounts to avoid access engine movement, and to save your lower motor mounts from tearing.

I agree that offset mounts are not needed if you don't have any issues. Just stick with regular position mounts.

Either the offset mounts or shorter dogbones; had bad vibration after lowering on Eibachs and the shorter db's took care of 95% of that.

Good mod for the money. Be prepared for increased vibration and harsher shifts. No header issues with the standard ones

Poly uppers didn't save my lower ones. shame really, because I had to end up getting a poly trans mount. LOL

How bad is the increased vibration with these? I am considering it, but I value ride quality highly and was hoping for some clarification.

I have the ones from 3800performance. You only notice a difference if you're stopped at a light and it's in gear. It vibrates, but not harsh.

Thanks, how much better does it feel at the track? Is the traction gain worth it?

Also, has anyone compared this to flipping the stock mounts? Is it worth it over that option?

I run the ones from Intense. You would be good just replacing the lower blocks. Unless you want to be rattled outta ur seat with the upper round mounts in too. Like Sabre said above, you really only feel the vibes at stops at lights. I replaced mine about two weeks ago. I could tell an immediate difference with traction. Much better breaks on the burnouts too.
:burnrubber0:Definitely worth it.
Not a horrible pain to switch either. Just make sure you soak them Wd-40 or PB Blaster first. Much easier that way. I worked mine out of the brackets with a pair of screwdrivers. Bout a 20 min job all round.
