I know I don't have a bov. Lolol with a full intake it sounds like a bov is what I meant.
The diverter valve sounds similar to a bov to an untrained ear.
Still loud and whoooshhhyy

I'm only one small step away from a bov though :D
 


Intercooler and then bov. 2 steps my friend.
How many steps for a gp to get a bov? LOL

Sounds like a bad idea.

Automatic or manual?

If manual, you'll really regret it.

The turbine will loose speed every time you shift, and with no air pushing on the inlet of the compressor to keep the speed up, boost will take longer to build back up after a shift.

With an auto you won't notice it as much.

Either way, the engine management will hate you and probably bog/go rich at each shift. Compounding the issue with the lost turbine speed.




Literally don't understand why anyone who cares about performance would want a BOV.
 
I don't want a real bov. I just like the noise, and it satisfies me right now.

It's a DSG.

I have read about the blow off valve problems.
If this dv starts to go, I'll just get an upgraded dv.
 


sun roof swaping the comp G? interesting...how was headlinering?

Not bad. It took about 30 min to get it down out of the way. I shoved it back and now the sunroof is easily accessible for the swap tom that's happening in the jy parking lot lol. The drive to work and the jy tom might be interesting though
