GP GXP 5.3 LS switching LS motors in this body.

Hi looking for some major help from anyone who knows how to correctly answer. Question is does anyone know if any 5.3 LS motors that are out of the Chevy Silverados and such or LS motors out of Camaros firebirds corvettes and such will fit under the hood of the GP GXP as a bolt up either to the trans already factory from GM in those cars the Monte ss or impala ss or GP gxp or such or if adapter plates are available to make this happen or not? So to say I've seen alot of posts where the factory LS4 motor already in these cars from GM isn't worth the time or money to mess with build or whatever so if I was to find a different LS motor from GM models trucks or other rear wheel models GM offers or even a crate what would it take to make it work in this car or can it even be done period. Thanks so much for any or all help I can get.

Unless I have bad info, none of them would fit. The LS4 had to be it's own engine because of the space requirements of the car. I think(?) it's something to do with the starter mounting? They physically changed the shape of the block in some manner to fit it in a fwd platform.

They also yammer about a "single belt accessory drive," as if every car hasn't had that since the 1990's. Supposedly the entire thing is only one inch shorter, which suggests it should be possible to fit it if you moved enough other things. Whether it would be worth the effort, and whether there's a practical way to connect it to the tranny, are separate issues.

there are two components in the block that are shortened so the LS4 overall is 13mm shorter than all the other LS engines.

Anything can be done with the right amount of time/money/fabricating. This gtp has a 6.0 vortec Driving my RWD swapped 6.0 GTP for the first time!! - YouTube

As far as the LS4 there are things you can do with it as it is closely related to the other LSx motors...alot will require fabrication i imagine more so due to fitment in the engine bay & being transverse. There were a handful of turbo builds out there. Furches Performance comes to mind. He worked on a few LS4 builds himself. Not sure if he's still active
