Ok guys i got my pcm friday, oh btw i love the shipping from zzp, it's always quick! and i put it on in 5 mins. and all i have to say is wow!! I absolutly love it! The shifts are more harder, but not bad harder. the skip shifts are awsome. and the raised rev line is my favorite. I went on a 150 mile road trip to see my friend the same day i got my pcm soo i really got to test it. I went on the highway and really opened her up. I just love the whine sound from the supercharger when you floor it. It goes right to 6k and shifts soo nice and keeps going. I got it up to 130 and it wanted more but i was running out of straight stretch. The gas millege didnt really drop. I got 25mpg the whole way down and back cept for those few times i played around with it ;-) and i was going between 75-80mph the whole way down. Anyways if anybody hasnt got this yet it's a must to have!!!! i reallly love it, and it makes a big difference. thumbs up for the pcm and two thumbs up for zzp, because they have awsome quick shipping and they always responded to my emails quick too. Also if anybody has another pcm laying around you can send that one in, and keep your old one for a just in case situation.

Good review, keep up in the loop on the long term thoughts. I was same way when I got mine. It added a level of excitement to the ride so I was in the throttle a lot for about a week or so.

Yea i will update it in a month or so, It's really fun. Now i got to save my cash for the slp header package then i can put that and my exhust system on and move into the colder plugs 180 tstat and a 3.4 pulley and im golden for about a week lol. When i got it up toc 130 it didnt seem like it would go much more like i wasnt paying attention to the rpm but like it seem like it was reving pretty high, i dont think our cars are really that good for top end.

No, top end isnt all that great but headers should help at the sacrifice of a marginal amount of low end. But these things have so much low end as it is that I could trade some off for more top end.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the ZZP PCM's are open so if you have a tuner you can still tune the car but I would, obviously, HIGHLY recommend backing up your bin file first.

Oh, thought I might add, the ZZP tune is pretty generic so imagine what it would be like if you did have a tuner and could tune it specifically to your engine.

I've had mine for about 4 months now, and I'm still always on the throttle:D Even though I only have a GT, it really woke the car up a lot.

yeah, I got mine about 7 months ago, before pcm then I would slam the gas from a stop I would chirp the tires, after installing the pcm, they burn for about 5 feet(I know not Ideal for speed, but tons of fun), almost as it I had a GTP :)

Quite a few locals were not happy with their ZZP PCM's. One locals engine paid the ultimate price after the installment.

Almost everyone I know got rid of or returned their PCM's and went with a name they know and can trust for a safe, and well spent tune. DHP FTW.

Everyone else...we use a Power Tuner for the ultimate PCM program.

But sure as hell...a PCM program, off from stock will sure wake up your car. Night and day difference for sure.

MPG went south HARD....I'm happy with everything it did, but the AF ratio/timing needs to be tuned a little, or whatever is causing it

If you can afford it, some kind of custom tune PCM is the only way to go if your going to mod. Cookie Cutter PCM's are good if you have the exact mods required, but throw one thing extra in the mix, and it can go south quick on you. I dont want to say that this guys PCM's are bad, or that guys is better, but I will tell you that NO MATTER WHICH ONE YOU USE, YOU MUST SCAN. KR is your enemy as well as getting to lean.

You should always scan in various weather conditions, hot, cold, wet, dry, etc. Once you know where your car runs for various weather conditions you really dont need to scan all the time, but dont scan once when you install and its 40 deg outside and think its all good.....summertime comes and hits 100 deg, and your tune changes drastically.

yeah, as soon as I get the money, Im gonna get a tuner and a laptop to mod my ZZP tune, on that note, Is there any tuner that can be used without a laptop?

also does ZZP lock there PCM's like DHP?

No, they dont unless they have changed something. As far as I know, they are completely open. One of the first things I did after getting my tuner was download the bin file so I would have a back up. The next thing I did was buy a spare PCM.

From what I have seen, the MPG doesn't look bad on the DIC because they play with the Injector Flow Rates. So while your MPG may look the same on your dash, figure it by hand and you will notice the decrease in MPG.

So to the OP, figure a few tanks of gas by hand (the correct way) and compare these to your MPG before the PCM. I am interested.

I don't have a scanner yet! is this bad, the only thing i got on it right now is just a cai. I installed it outside in like 20 degree weather in 5 minutes. Nothing seems wrong.

well i went on a road trip the day i put the pcm on. I drove 150 miles on a half tank of gas and i was driving pretty fast too like 75 most of way down.

I have a ZZP PCM and an open cone intake with no other mods. I've thoroughly enjoyed mine for the past year. I'm still pulling in 34 mpg on the highway.

Thats dang good mileage. I hope once I get my tranny fixed I'll be back up in that range like before but I think Ive taken a hit due to the tranny not being in the best of shape and needing rebuilt.

No wonder you have hardly any mods. I'm lucky to get 28 on the hwy. I have gotten 34 before but he wind was at my back blowing 40mph.

Is the 34mph what you DIC says or what you figure by hand?

No matter what the DIC is allways off. Its an average or estimate. My DIC always says i burn 1 gallon or more less than i fill up with at the pump.
